1203.03 PC MOTION ? Request to cancel, modify, change or terminate probation. MOCI?N CP 1203.03 ? Solicitud para cancelar, modificar, cambiar o terminar la libertad condicional.
1203.4 PC MOTION ? Request to take back guilty plea or set aside a guilty verdict, and dismiss the accusations or information. (Made after probation has either terminated or defendant was discharged from probation prior to termination.) MOCI?N CP 1203.4 ? Solicitud para retractar un alegato de culpabilidad o revocar un veredicto de culpabilidad, y rechazar las acusaciones o la informaci?n. ABANDONMENT ? When a parent leaves a child without enough care, supervision, support, or parental contact for an excessive period of time. ABANDONO ? Cuando un padre deja a un hijo sin suficiente cuidado, supervisi?n, o contacto paternal por un periodo excesivo de tiempo.
ABATE ? To put an end to; to cancel out. CESAR ? Finalizar; cancelar.
ABATEMENT OF ACTION ? A suit which has been set aside and ended. CESACI?N DE ACCI?N ? Un pleito que ha sido anulado, concluido o terminado.
ABDUCTION ? The offense of taking away a wife, child, or ward, by deceitful persuasion, force, or violence. SECUESTRO ? El delito de llevarse a una esposa, hijo, o pupilo, por enga?o persuasivo, a la fuerza o con violencia.
ABROGATE ? To repeal or cancel an old law using another law or constitutional power. ABROGAR ? Revocar o cancelar una ley antigua usando otra ley o poder constitucional.
ABSTRACT ? A summary of what a court or government agency does. In Traffic, document that is sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to update driving record. RESUMEN ? Un sumario de lo que hace un tribunal o agencia. En Tr?fico: un documento que es enviado al Departamento de Veh?culos (DMV) para poner al d?a el expediente de manejo de la persona.
ABSTRACT OF JUDGEMENT ? Summary of the court's final decision. Can be used as a lien if you file it with the county recorder. RESUMEN DE JUICIO O FALLO ? Sumario de la decisi?n final del tribunal. Puede ser usado como un gravamen si es archivado con el registro del condado.
ABSTRACT OF RECORD ? Short form of the case. SINOPSIS DE REGISTRO ? Versi?n breve del caso.
ABUSE ? (1) immoderate or improper use; (2) to do physical, sexual, or psychological harm to someone. ABUSO ? (1) Excesivo o inapropiado uso; (2) hacerle da?o f?sica, sexual o psicol?gicamente a alguien.

ABUSE OF PROCESS ? Misuse of the power of the court. ABUSO DEL PROCESO ? Abuso del poder del tribunal.
ACCESSORY ? A person who helps someone else commit a crime, either before or after the crime.
ACCESORIO ? Una persona que ayuda a alguien cometer un delito, antes o despu?s del delito.
ACCIDENT & MISFORTUNE ? an unintentional event; unforeseen event causing misfortune.
ACCIDENTE Y DESGRACIA ? un evento involuntario; un evento inprevisto que causa desgracias.
ACCOMPLICE ? A person that helps someone else commit a crime. Can be on purpose or not.
C?MPLICE ? Una persona que ayuda a alguien a cometer un delito. Puede ser intencionalmente o no.
ACCORD ? A satisfaction agreed upon between the parties in a lawsuit, which prevents further actions after the claim.
ACUERDO ? Un acuerdo satisfactorio para las partes en un juicio, lo que impide tomar medidas adicionales despu?s de la demanda.
ACCORD & SATISFACTION ? Agreement by the parties to settle a claim or dispute in which the parties typically agree to give or accept something.

ACCRUAL ? The total amount of child support payments that are owed or that are late. ACUMULACI?N ? La suma total de los pagos de sustento de menores que se deben o que est?n en retraso.

ACCUSATION ? A formal charge against a person.
ACUSACI?N ? Un cargo formal contra una persona.
ACCUSED ? The person that is charged with a crime and has to go to criminal court. (See DEFENDANT).
ACUSADO ? La persona que ha sido acusada de un delito y tiene que comparecer ante un tribunal penal.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT ? Saying, testifying, or assuring that something is true.
ADMISI?N ? Declarar, dar testimonio, o asegurar que algo es verdadero.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF SATISFACTION OF JUDGMENT ? A court form that the person who wins the case must fill out, sign, and file with the court when the judgment is fully paid. If there are no liens, the back of the Notice of Entry of Judgment can be signed and filed with the court (See JUDGMENT CREDITOR, JUDGMENT.)
ADMISI?N DE SATISFACCI?N CON UN DICTAMEN O FALLO ? Un formulario que la persona que gana un caso tiene que llenar, firmar y archivar con el tribunal cuando el dictamen del juez ha sido pagado en su totalidad. ACQUIT ? To legally find the innocence of a person charged with a crime. To set free, release or discharge from an obligation, burden or accusation. To find a defendant not guilty in a criminal trial.
ABSOLVER ? Declarar legalmente la inocencia de una persona acusada de un delito. Poner en libertad o descargar de obligaci?n, cargo o acusaci?n. Encontrar a un acusado no culpable en un juicio criminal o penal.
ACQUITTAL ? When a judge or jury finds that the person on trial is not guilty.
ABSOLUCI?N ? Cuando un juez o jurado determina que una persona acusada de un delito no es culpable.

ACTION ? In court, when one person sues someone else to, defend or enforce a right, stop something bad from happening or fix something, or punish them for a crime.
ACCI?N ? En un tribunal, cuando una persona demanda a otra para defender o hacer cumplir con un derecho, prevenir que pase algo malo o arreglar algo, o castigar a esta persona por un delito.
ACTION IN PERSONAM ? Proceeding against the person for the recovery of a specific object, usually an item of personal property such as an automobile.
ACCI?N EN PERSONA ? Proceder contra la persona para la recuperaci?n de un objeto espec?fico, usualmente un art?culo de propiedad personal como un autom?vil.
ACTION IN REM ? Proceeding "against the thing" as compared to personal actions (in personam). Usually a proceeding where property is involved.

ACTIVE STATUS ? A case that is in court but is not settled or decided has active status. (See DISPOSITION, PENDING.)
ESTADO ACTIVO ? Un caso pendiente en un tribunal que no se ha llegado a un acuerdo o ha sido decidido tiene un estado activo. (Ver DISPOSICI?N, PENDIENTE.)
ACTUAL LOSS ? This is a showing that the plaintiff or injured party has undergone some loss of property or other thing of value by reason of fraud, forgery, or other illegal action. For the crime of forgery the existence of a specific intent to defraud is an essential element; however, there is no requirement of actual loss to complete the crime.
P?RDIDA REAL ? Esta es la muestra que el demandante o grupo perjudicado ha sufrido una p?rdida de propiedad u otra cosa de valor por raz?n de fraude, falsificaci?n, u otra acci?n ilegal.
