Manager of Special Projects

As a thriving, student-centered college with graduation rates double the national two-year college average and triple the Massachusetts two-year college average, Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology seeks a Manager of Special Projects who will directly support the CEO on key strategic projects and initiatives.

This person will carry out complex administrative change management projects from conception to execution. These projects center on creating organizational systems and services that streamline how faculty and staff working across the organization. The Manager will also be tasked with recommending and instituting new practices that promote institutional efficiencies. 

The role requires the exercise of considerable initiative, independent judgment, and discretion especially where clearly defined guidelines are needed but may not exist. The appropriate candidate is adept at and enjoys marshalling internal and external resources to coordinate project completion.  

Key Duties

• Create and support strategic execution of key initiatives across the organization as assigned by the CEO. Initial projects involve: strategic plan implementation, enrollment operations, and supporting growth of strategic partnerships

• Provide analytical and organizational support to the CEO 

• Drive communication across the college to create buy-in for these new initiatives 

• Work in collaboration with other individuals and departments to affect change and achieve implementation 

• Role will include research and analysis of data for report preparation, operational process planning, improvement, and assessment. 

Key Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree required with 5-7 years progressive work experience 

• Must be facile with Excel and PowerPoint

• Quantitative background and aptitude for data and analysis strongly preferred 

• Operating or start-up project or program experience 

• Strong understanding of B2B customer service 

• Experience producing board level materials 

• Experience crafting data-informed continuous operating improvement strategies for existing programs  

• Understanding DEI program development and project management

• Facility with SalesForce or another CRM is desired
