Spring Cleaning Tips
and Tricks. As Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Sell It! One might say, "One person's
trash is another person's treasure." There are plenty of ways to sell gently used items. Check your local listings for resale and consignment shops or sell your items through online outlets.
2. Donate It!
Charities accept a variety of different items, including books, furniture, kitchenware, electronics, and clothing. Find your local donation center and call to arrange a pickup. Smaller items may be dropped off at the donation center.
3. Recycle It! Items such as cribs, couches,
or mattresses that may be too worn to donate. For example, you may recycle your used mattress through Waste Management's Bulky Item Recycling Program offered to Irvine residents. Simply wrap your mattress in a plastic wrap or place in a plastic bag and call Waste Management Customer Service to request your pickup.
