Cold Springs Family Center Group Exercise Classes & Schedule

Classes are approximately 50 minutes in length; express classes are scheduled for 30 minutes in length. Please note, classes with attendance of less than 3 may be cancelled for that session. Low attendance on a regular basis may lead to the class being removed from the schedule, but may return at another date.

CARDIO CLASSES

Cardio Dance (Vol. Gail): High & low impact dance routines that provides you with a total body workout. If you like Zumba, you’ll enjoy this!

Cardio Pump – This is a strong cardio workout coupled with muscle building and strength exercises.

Cardio Scuplt - Get your muscles moving with interval step and toning exercises.

Cycle - Cycling burns TONS of calories with a variety of fast paced low impact rides using fun music and positive reinforcement.

Interval Circuit- An intense cardio workout, focused on total body strengthening in interval circuits that allow you to work at your own pace.

Muscle Mojo – Get your muscles moving with interval step and toning exercises.

Ride & Sculpt- Combining 45 minutes of cycling with 30 minutes of body sculpting gives you a total body workout in just over an hour.

Total Body - High results with interval training incorporating cardio endurance, muscle strengthening, core toning and stretching.

Wake Up Cardio & Tone (Vol. Tica) –This early morning class will get you moving with intense cardio activities finished by some body toning.

Zumba - Interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training combine to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and International zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba! (Intro is a great start for beginners but all levels are welcome).

STRENGTHENING CLASSES

Pilates - Core strengthening and stretching exercises provide an intense workout using mat, body weight, light hand weights and Pilates balls.

Yoga - Yoga does involve stretching, but it is really about creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility.

SPECIALTY CLASSES/ACTIVITIES

Adult Pick Up Basketball – Looking for a game of basketball? Come one, come all to join the game!

Family Power Walk- (Vol. Mary): Grab the family get moving! This group will meet for some stretching and then walk around our beautiful area. This is an outdoor activity, weather permitting, but we don’t give in easily so come dressed appropriate! Stroller friendly routes.

Rise & Shine- Start your morning with some stretching exercises that will rejuvinate you and relieve some stress. A great way to start the day!

Senior Fitness - Combines fun with fitness to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance with a standing circuit workout.  Upper body strength work with hand-held weights is alternated with low impact aerobic and leg strengthening exercises.  A chair is offered for support.

Tai Chi for Arthritis (Vol. Gail)- This Sun (“soon”) style Tai Chi was designed by Dr. Paul Lam specifically for the Arthritis Foundation for greater mobility and fall prevention. You might benefit from Tai Chi if you want to improve balance, flexibility, energy, strength and stress releif.

No Class on 6/20, 6/22 – other dates to be posted.

YOUTH CLASSES & ACTIVITIES (activites target youth ages 7-12 years; under 7 may attend with a guardian and over 12 are still welcome)

Air Hockey & Foosball Tournament – Let the games begin! We’ll create our own tournament based on the number of kids playing.

Creative Station (YC- vol. Sara) – With new activities each week, you’ll enjoy some arts & crafts, scrapbooking and other creative projects.

Family Game Night - Come one, come all for a little friendly competition in our game room –ping pong, air hockey and foosball are all an option.

Family Movie Night – Join us starting at 7:30pm for a movie on our version of the “big screen”. Please see center/website for movie schedule.

Kids Moive Matinee – The movie starts at 2pm, always rated PG or less, please contact us the Wednesday before to hear the movie choice.

Youth Fit (YC –Vol. Josie)– In a fun and supportive environment, this class specifically designed for youth (target ages 7-12)

Youth “Virtual” Fit - We will be exploring various types of fitness activities virtually, so we will have all kinds of options.

Youth Pick Up Basketball (YC) – Youth 12+ who are looking to play some pick up ball, pleaes join us! This is a volunteer or unsupervised pick up game environment with staff in the building.

YC =Youth Club qualified class. Youth 12+ may enter the center to participate in these activities ONLY, on their own, if a permission slip is completed prior to attendance w parent authorization. Stay is limited to class time only and youth attendance and departure, is not monitored.

VOLUNTEER CLASSES -Thanks to our great volunteers, who have worked with our instructors and staff, we have added some classes and activities to our schedule. Please be advised that at times these classes may be cancelled but every effort will be in place to notify participants of the cancellation one week prior.
