The remainder of this document outlines the steps required for installing the software components.Installing the Array Explorer SoftwareYour RSWA unit should have come with the Array Explorer softare already installed. In most cases, there is nothing to do here.Installing the TDS SoftwareThe Tessonics Data Service (TDS) software acts as a data collection service as well as a reporting tool. It is a web-based application that you can access from any device with an internet connection.The TDS software can be installed in one of two ways:Download and run the TDS Server.Download the TDS source code and host it yourself.TDS ServerThe default way to run the TDS software is to download and run the TDS Server application. This is a program that runs on Windows PCs, and it allows your PC to act as a data collection server for the RSWA’s.Download the TDS Server, and double click TDS.exe to start the application. If everything is working, you will see a green message on the application. Keep this application running (you can either minimize it to hide it, or click on the X button. If you close the application by clicking X, it will still be running, and you will see it in your Windows Task Bar) and you will be able to connect to it through the Desktop Tools.A properly configured desktop-serverIf you do not see the green working status, or see a red error message, contact us for assistance. Include a screenshot of the application in your email.The TDS Server application can be downloaded from the following location: Source CodeThe TDS software is a web-based application, and as such it requires the following infrastructure:A web server (e.g.?Microsoft IIS, Apache)Support for the PHP scripting langauge in your web serverA database server (e.g.?Microsoft SQL Server 2016, MySQL)The TDS software is distributed as a zip file. Download it from here: the zip file has finished downloading, extract into the web root of your web server. Under IIS, this is typically C:/inetput/wwwroot. With Apache, on Linux it is usually /var/www or /var/www/htdocs.Installing the Desktop Tools SoftwareOnce you have the TDS software installed, the next step is to install the Desktop Tools.Download the Desktop Tools SoftwareWe distribute the Desktop Tools software as a standalone executable. Download it from here: the zip file has finished downloading, extract the contents to a convenient location on your computer. We recommend using a folder on your desktop such as desktop-tools.Configure the Web Service LocationFinally, double click the application desktop-tools.exe to start it. You will be prompted to enter a server URL to connect to. This URL needs to be the same URL that you configured the TDS server to use. If you are using the desktop-server, then use the URL 127.0.0.1.Configuring the Web Service LocationOnce done, click Connect, and you will be shown the Desktop Tools main page.Desktop Tools Main PageNext StepsAt this point, you have successfully installed the RSWA-v4 software suite. Next you will want to create users to manage the RSWA units and perform inspections, create part templates, and synchronize this data with your RSWA units. ................
