2.03 DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

A. Locknuts

1. Standard Locknuts

a. Conduit locknuts shall be of the 141 series.

b. Conduit locknuts shall be available in the following materials:

1) 141 series – steel or malleable iron

2) 141AL series – copper-free aluminum 624

3) 141-SST series – stainless steel type 304

c. Steel and malleable iron conduit locknuts shall have a zinc-plated finish.

d. Aluminum conduit locknuts shall have a chromate coating.

e. Steel conduit locknuts 141 and 142 shall be case hardened,

f. Steel or malleable iron conduit locknuts shall be available in trade sizes from 1/4" to 6”

g. Aluminum conduit locknuts shall be available in trade sizes from 1/2" to 6”.

h. Stainless steel conduit locknuts shall be available in trade sizes from 1/2" to 2”.

i. Conduit locknuts shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

2. Sealing Locknuts

a. Sealing locknut series 141SL shall be used to provide a watertight or raintight seal at an enclosure.

b. Sealing locknuts shall be made from zinc-plated steel with a molded on Santoprene seal.

c. Sealing locknuts shall be available in trade sizes from 1/2" to 2”.

d. Sealing locknuts shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

3. Bonding Locknuts

a. Bonding locknut series 106 shall be used to ensure positive bonding of conduit to box, and to prevent loosening due to vibration.

b. Bonding locknuts shall be made from zinc-plated steel or malleable iron.

c. Bonding locknut screws shall be zinc-plated steel.

d. Bonding locknuts shall be available in trade sizes 1/2" to 2” (steel) and 2-1/2” to 4” (malleable iron).

e. Bonding locknuts shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

B. Bonding and Grounding Wedges

1. Bonding and grounding wedges 3650 series shall be used to effectively bond a terminating fitting or conduit

2. Bonding and grounding wedges shall provide grounding without a jumper wire except in concentric knockouts.

3. Bonding and grounding wedges shall accommodate a jumper under the screw when one is required.

4. Bonding and grounding wedges shall bring existing installations up to date to meet NEC requirements for bonding (Section 250.94(B)(4)) without disconnecting wiring.

5. Bonding and grounding wedges shall have a trade range of 1/2" to 6”.

6. Bonding and grounding wedges shall be steel for the 1/2" trade size and bonze for the 3/4" to 6” trade sizes.

7. Bonding and grounding wedges shall have a zinc plated finish for the steel version and tin plated for bronze versions.

8. Bonding and grounding wedges be UL Listed to UL 467 and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 41.

C. Liquidtight Sealing Gaskets

1. Liquidtight sealing gasket series 5262 shall be used with externally threaded connectors to provide a tight seal against oil, fumes or moisture at a knockout opening.

2. Liquidtight sealing gasket shall be made from 316 stainless steel with a molded on Santoprene rubber seal.

3. Liquidtight sealing gaskets shall cover a trade size range from 1/2" to 4”.

4. Liquidtight sealing gaskets shall be rated NEMA Type 3R, 4, 6 and 13.

D. Grounding Bushings

1. Threaded Insulated Grounding Bushing

a. Threaded insulated grounding bushing series 3870-TB shall be used to bush conductors preventing insulation damage and to provide quick installation of a bonding jumper, for use on threaded RMC or IMC.

b. Threaded insulated grounding bushings shall have an attached tin plated aluminum lay-in lug with a set screw that will accommodate wire ranges from #14 to 4/0 AWG copper or aluminum.

c. Threaded insulated grounding bushings shall have a zinc plated malleable iron body internally threaded to attach to threaded conduit.

d. Threaded insulated grounding bushing shall have a UL94-V0, 150ºC rated blue thermoplastic insulated throat.

e. Threaded insulated grounding bushings shall cover a conduit trade size from 1/2" to 6”.

f. Threaded insulated grounding bushing shall be UL Listed to UL 467 and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 41.

2. Blackjack® Grounding Bushing

a. Blackjack® grounding bushings series BG050-14-20 or BGA050-14-20 shall be used to bush conductors preventing insulation damage and to provide quick installation of a bonding jumper, for use on threaded or non-threaded RMC or IMC.

b. Blackjack® grounding bushings shall have integral threads opposite the mounting screw for secure engagement to threaded conduit when the mounting screw is tightened.

c. Blackjack® grounding bushings shall allow 360º orientation placement around the conduit to allow exact positioning of the grounding lug.

d. Blackjack® grounding bushings shall have an integral lay-in grounding lug with a stainless steel screw that will accommodate wire ranges from #14 to 4/0 AWG copper or aluminum.

e. Blackjack® grounding bushings shall cover a conduit trade size from 1/2" to 6”.

f. Blackjack® grounding bushings shall use a stainless steel mounting screw for trade sizes 1/2" to 2” and a brass mounting screw for trades sizes 2-1/2” to 6”.

g. Blackjack® grounding bushing mounting screws shall have a nylon locking patch to prevent loosening of the screw after installation.

h. Blackjack® grounding bushing mounting screws shall have a cone point to bite securely into both threaded and non-thread conduit.

i. Blackjack® grounding bushings shall be made from malleable iron (BG series) or aluminum (BGA series).

j. Blackjack® grounding bushings shall have rounded interior throat coated with black insulated nylon rated for 150ºC.

E. Conduit Bushings

1. Insulated Throat Bushing

a. Insulated throat bushing series 1222 (steel) or 1222AL (aluminum) shall be used to protect wires and reduce wire pulling efforts, for threaded conduit.

b. Insulated throat bushings series 1222 shall be made from steel for conduit trade sizes 1/2" to 1-1/2” and malleable iron for trade sizes 2” to 6”.

c. Insulated throat bushings series 1222AL shall be from aluminum for conduit trade sizes 1/2" to 6”.

d. Insulated throat bushing shall have a blue nylon insulated throat rated 105ºC.

e. Insulated throat bushings shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified, except 1232AL shall not be CSA Certified.

2. Metallic Bushings

a. Metallic bushing series 122 (steel) or 122AL (aluminum) shall be used to bush the end of threaded conduit.

b. Metallic bushing series 122 shall be made from steel for conduit trade sizes ½” to 1-1/2” and malleable iron for trade sizes 2” to 6”.

c. Metallic bushing series 122AL shall be made from aluminum for conduit trade sizes 1/2" to 6”.

d. Metallic bushing series 122 shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

e. Metallic bushing series 122AL shall be UL listed and CSA Certified, except 123AL shall not be UL Listed or CSA Certified and 124AL shall not be CSA Certified.

3. Non-metallic Threaded Bushings

a. Non-metallic threaded bushing series 222-TB shall used to bush the end of threaded conduit.

b. Non-metallic threaded bushing shall be molded from impact resistant plastic rated for 105ºC.

c. Non-metallic threaded bushing shall cover conduit trade sizes from 1/2" to 6”.

d. Non-metallic threaded bushing shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

4. Insulated Bushings

a. Insulated bushing series TRIB-50 shall be used on the ends of threadless RMC or IMC to provide a well round surface over which conductors may be pulled or bear.

b. Insulated bushings shall pop-on to the end of the conduit.

c. Insulated bushings shall be molded from high-impact thermoplastic rated UL94-V1, 105ºC.

d. Insulated bushings shall cover conduit trade sizes from 1/2" to 4”.

e. Insulated bushing shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

5. Knockout Bushing

a. Knockout bushing series 3210 shall be used in knockouts to provide a smooth, rounded surface for wire pulling.

b. Knockout bushings shall easily snap-fit into the knockout by hand installation.

c. Knockout bushing series shall fit in knockouts ranging 1/2" to 2”.

d. Knockout bushings shall be made from high-impact polycarbonate rated UL94-V1, 105ºC.

e. Knockout bushings shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

6. Capped Bushing

a. Capped bushing series 1460 shall be used on the end of threaded conduit to seal dirt, debris, plaster or mischief.

b. Capped bushings shall be made from steel for trade sizes 1/2" to 1-1/4” and malleable iron for trade sizes 1-1/2” and 2”.

c. Capped bushings shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

F. Nipples

1. CHASE® Nipples

a. CHASE® Nipple series 841TB and 842ALTB shall be used to bush holes in boxes and enclosures.

b. CHASE® Nipples shall cover a conduit trade size range of 3/8” to 6”.

c. CHASE® Nipple series 841TB shall be made of steel for trade sizes 3/8” and 1/2".

d. CHASE® Nipple series 841TB shall be made of malleable iron for trade sizes 3/4" to 6”.

e. CHASE® Nipple series 842ALTB shall be made of copper-free aluminum.

f. CHASE® Nipple series 841TB shall have a zinc plated finish.

g. CHASE® Nipples shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified..

h. CHASE® Nipples 842ALTB, 844AL and 845AL shall not be UL Listed.

2. CHASE® Nipples – Insulated

a. Insulated CHASE® Nipple series 1942 shall be used to provide extra protection for wires when bushing holes in boxes and enclosures.

b. Insulated CHASE® Nipples shall cover a conduit trade size range of 1/2" to 6”.

c. Insulated CHASE® Nipples shall be made of steel for trade size ½” and malleable iron for trade sizes 3/4” to 6”.

d. Insulated CHASE® Nipples shall have a zinc-plated finish.

e. Insulated CHASE® Nipples shall have a blue nylon insulated throat rated 105ºC maximum.

G. Hubs

1. Bullet® Hub

a. Bullet® hub series 370, 370AL and 401 shall be used to connect threaded conduit to a threadless opening in a box or enclosure in locations exposed to moisture and to positively bond the conduit to the box or enclosure.

b. Bullet® hubs shall cover conduit trade sizes from 1/2" to 6” (370 series), 1/2" to 2” (370AL series) and 1/2" to 4” (401 series).

c. Bullet® hub series 370 and 401 shall be made from steel for trade sizes 1/2" to 1” and malleable iron for trade sizes 1-1/4” to 6” (to 4” for series 401).

d. Bullet® hub series 370 and 401 shall have a zinc-plated, chromate coated finish.

e. Bullet® hub series 370AL shall be made from copper-free cast aluminum.

f. Bullet® hub series 401 shall have a hardened steel (thru 2” trade sizes) or malleable iron (thru 4”) zinc-plated locknut.

g. Bullet® hubs shall have an elastomeric o-ring for sealing against moisture.

h. Bullet® hubs shall have a straight pipe threads on the hub and taper pipe threads (NPT) for the female threads.

i. Bullet® hub series 370 and 401 shall have a blue nylon insulated throat rated for 105ºC maximum.

j. Bullet® hubs shall be UL Listed rain tight and CSA Certified watertight and dust tight.

k. Bullet® hubs shall be suitable for hazardous locations use in Class I, Division 2, Class II, Division 2, Class III, Division 1 and 2 where general purpose equipment is specifically permitted per the NEC.

2. T&B® Hub

a. T&B® hub series H050-TB of H050A shall be used to connect threaded conduit to a threadless opening in a box or enclosure in locations exposed to moisture, and to positively bond the conduit to the box or enclosure.

b. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall cover a conduit trade size range of 1/2" to 6”.

c. T&B® hub series H050-TB shall have the body and locknut made from zinc die casting.

d. T&B® hub series H050A shall have the body and locknut made from copper-free aluminum.

e. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall have blue thermoplastic insulated throat rated UL94-V0, 105ºC maximum.

f. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall have a captivated sealing ring made from molded rubber. The sealing ring shall provide a 360º seal even when the conduit is not perpendicular with the enclosure.

g. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall have a hexagonal/splined body design for fast assembly with wrench or hammer and screwdriver.

h. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall have straight pipe threads on the hub and taper threads (NPT) for the female threads.

i. T&B® hub series H050-TB shall be available with chrome plating by adding a –CP suffix to the catalog number.

j. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall meet NEMA sealing requirements for 3R, 4 and 13 enclosures.

k. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

l. T&B® hub series H050-TB and H050A shall be CSA Certified for hazardous locations Class II, Groups E, F, G and Class III.

3. T&B® Grounding Hub and Locknut

a. T&B® grounding hub series H050GR-TB, H050GRA and H050GRSST shall be used to connect threaded conduit to a threadless opening in a box or enclosure in locations exposed to moisture, and for grounding and bonding conduit to a box or enclosure.

b. T&B® grounding hub series H050GR-TB and H050GRA shall cover a conduit trade size range of 1/2" to 6”. Series H050GRSST shall cover conduit trade sizes ½” to 2”.

c. T&B® grounding hub locknuts shall be available in the following series: L050GR series (zinc die cast), L050GRA series (copper-free aluminum), L050GR-SST series (316 stainless steel).

d. T&B® grounding hub locknuts shall have a locknut with a screw that will accommodate bonding conductor in the range of #10 to #1 AWG for H050GR-TB and H050GRA series, and #10 to #8 for H050GRSST series.

e. T&B® grounding hub series H050GR-TB shall be made from zinc die casting.

f. T&B® grounding hub series H050GRA shall be made from copper-free aluminum.

g. T&B® grounding hub series H050GRSST shall be made from 316 stainless steel.

h. T&B® grounding hub series H050GR-TB, H050GRA and H050GRSST shall have blue thermoplastic insulated throat rated UL94-V0, 105ºC maximum.

i. T&B® grounding hub series H050GR-TB, H050GRA and H050GRSST shall have a captivated sealing ring made from Santoprene®. The sealing ring shall provide a 360º seal even when the conduit is not perpendicular with the enclosure.

j. T&B® grounding hub series H050GR-TB, H050GRA and H050GRSST shall have a hexagonal/splined body design for fast assembly with wrench or hammer and screwdriver.

4. CHASE® Thread Conduit Hubs

a. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1, HTGZ1 and HT1 shall be used for connecting junction box to junction box, or junction box to conduit system. The connection shall maintain ground continuity and is raintight.

b. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1, HTGZ1 and HT1 be suitable for use in NEMA Type 4 systems.

c. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1 and HTGZ1 shall be made from zinc die cast.

d. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HT1 shall be made from copper-free aluminum die cast.

e. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1, HTGZ1 and HT1 shall have an aluminum lacquer finish.

f. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1, HTGZ1 and HT1 shall cover a conduit trade size range from 1/2" to 4”.

g. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1, HTGZ1 and HT1 shall have Buna N o-ring.

h. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1, HTGZ1 and HT1 shall have a blue thermoplastic insulating sleeve rated for 105ºC.

i. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTGZ1 shall have a ground screw on the locknut for attaching a grounding conductor.

j. CHASE® thread conduit hub series HTZ1, HTGZ1 and HT1 shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

5. T&B® Bulkhead Fittings

a. T&B® bulkhead fittings series H050BHD and B050BHDA shall be used as a bulkhead fitting, thru bulkhead fitting or thru bulkhead hub.

b. T&B® bulkhead fittings series H050BHD and B050BHDA shall cover a conduit trade size range from 1/2" to 6”.

c. T&B® bulkhead fittings series H050BHD shall be made from zinc die cast.

d. T&B® bulkhead fittings series B050BHDA shall be made from copper-free aluminum.

e. T&B® bulkhead fittings series H050BHD and B050BHDA shall have a blue thermoplastic insulating throat rated UL94-V0, 105ºC.

f. T&B® bulkhead fittings series H050BHD and B050BHDA shall have a Buna N sealing ring. The sealing ring shall provide a 360º seal even when the conduit is not perpendicular with the enclosure.

g. T&B® bulkhead fittings series H050BHD and B050BHDA shall have a hexagonal/splined body design for fast assembly with wrench or hammer and screwdriver.

b. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall cover the following transition conduit sizes;

1) 1-1/2” to ¾”

2) 1-1/2” to 1”

3) 1-1/2” to 1-1/4”

4) 2-1/2” to 2”

c. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR shall be made from zinc die cast.

d. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGRA shall be made from copper-free aluminum.

e. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall have a blue thermoplastic insulating throat rated UL94-V0, 105ºC.

f. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall have a Santoprene® sealing ring. The sealing ring shall provide a 360º seal even when the conduit is not perpendicular with the enclosure.

g. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall have a hexagonal/splined body design for fast assembly with wrench or hammer and screwdriver.

h. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall have straight pipe threads on the hub and taper threads (NPT) for the female threads.

i. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall be available with chrome plating by adding a –CP suffix to the catalog number.

j. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall meet NEMA sealing requirements for 3R, 4 and 13 enclosures.

k. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

l. Offset reducer series H150-TB0750RGR and H150-TB0750RGRA shall be CSA Certified for hazardous locations Class II, Groups E, F, G and Class III.

7. Capoffs

a. Capoff series H050CAP and H050CAPA shall be used to provide moisture tight seal off to an enclosure knockout opening.

b. Capoff series H050CAP and H050CAPA shall cover conduit trade sizes from 1/2" to 6”.

c. Capoff series H050CAP shall be made from zinc die cast.

d. Capoff series H050CAPA shall be made from copper-free aluminum.

e. Capoff series H050CAP and H050CAPA shall have a Santoprene® sealing ring. The sealing ring shall provide a 360º seal even when the conduit is not perpendicular with the enclosure.

f. Capoff series H050CAP and H050CAPA shall have a hexagonal/splined body design for fast assembly with wrench or hammer and screwdriver.

g. Capoff series H050CAP and H050CAPA shall have straight pipe threads on the hub.

c. XD expansion/deflection coupling series XD3-TB shall be used indoors, outdoors, direct burial or embedded in concrete.

d. XD expansion/deflection coupling series XD3-TB shall have an internal flexible copper braid grounding jumper to safeguard against theft.

e. XD expansion/deflection coupling series XD3-TB shall cover a conduit trade size range from 1” to 6”.

f. XD expansion/deflection coupling series XD3-TB shall have an Erickson® coupling on one end and a hex internally threaded gland on the other.

b. XKJ conduit expansion coupling series XJG24-TB shall made from malleable iron or ductile iron with an interior and exterior zinc-plated finish.

c. XKJ conduit expansion coupling series XJG24-TB shall not require disassembly to install.

d. XKJ conduit expansion coupling series XJG24-TB shall be raintight after installation.

e. XKJ conduit expansion coupling series XJG24-TB shall be designed with an internal grounding conductor sized to comply with UL 467 fault current test requirements.

f. XKJ conduit expansion coupling series XJG24-TB shall not require an external bonding jumper in order to comply with NEC requirements.

3. XJG-EMT Conduit Expansion Coupling for EMT

a. 4. XD Nonmetallic Expansion/Deflection Coupling for Schedule 40, 80 Rigid PVC Conduits RNC

a. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB shall be used to join two conduit runs in applications where movement in any direction is required.

b. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB shall provide a flexible, watertight connection, accommodating axial or parallel movement of up to 3/4" and angular movement of up to 30º from rest position for protection of conduit wiring system from damage due to movement.

c. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB shall be used indoors, outdoors, direct burial or embedded in concrete.

d. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB shall require a grounding wire.

e. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB shall cover a conduit trade size range from 1/2” to 4” less 1-1/4” and 3-1/2”.

f. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB shall have molded PVC inner sleeve and molded PVC coupling ends.

g. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB inner sleeve with smooth surface shall maintain constant ID in any position for protection of wire insulation.

h. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB outer jacket shall be corrosion resistance molded neoprene rubber.

i. XD nonmetallic expansion/deflection coupling series XD1NM-TB jacket straps shall be corrosion resistance stainless steel.

I. Threadless Fittings

1. Threadless Connector (straight), Coupling and Elbow (90º)

a. Threadless connector, coupling and elbow series 8123, 8121, 8120 and 8130 shall be used for connecting or terminating threadless RMC and IMC.

b. Threadless connector series 8123 and 8121 shall be for conduit trade sizes 1/2" to 4”.

c. Threadless connector series 8123 and 8121 shall be supplied with a locknut to terminate to a box or enclosure hole.

d. Threadless coupling series 8120 shall be for conduit trade sizes 1/2" to 4” and shall couple two pieces of threadless conduit.

e. Threadless elbow series 8130 shall be for conduit trade sizes 1/2" to 1”.

f. Threadless elbow series 8130 shall be supplied with a locknut to termite to a box of enclosure hole.

g. Threadless connector series 8123 shall have a blue insulated throat for add protection of wires.

h. Threadless connector series 8121 shall be non-insulated.

i. Threadless connector, coupling and elbow series 8123, 8121, 8120 and 8130 bodies shall be made from malleable iron.

j. Threadless connector, coupling and elbow series 8123, 8121, 8120 and 8130 shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

2. Set-screw Connectors and Couplings

a. Set-screw connector and coupling series 8125 and 8124 shall be used for connecting or terminating threadless RMC or IMC.

b. Set-screw connector and coupling series 8125 and 8124 shall cover a conduit trade size range of 1/2” to 4”.

c. Set-screw connector and coupling series 8125 and 8124 shall be made from steel for 1/2" to 2” trade sizes and malleable iron 2-1/2” to 4” trade sizes.

d. Set-screw connector series 8125 shall have a locknut made from hardened steel for 1/2" to 2” trade sizes and malleable iron 2-1/2” to 4” trade sizes.

e. Set-screw connector and coupling series 8125 and 8124 shall have zinc-plated, hardened steel, hex-head, cup point screws.

f. Set-screw connector and coupling series 8125 and 8124 shall have a zinc-plated and chromate coated finish.

g. Set-screw connector series 8125 shall have an insulated throat for added wire protection.

h. Set-screw connector and coupling series 8125 and 8124 shall be approved concrete-tight.

i. Set-screw connector and coupling series 8125 and 8124 shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

J. Threaded Fittings

1. Erickson® 3-Piece Coupling

a. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 and 675AL shall be used to couple and effectively bond threaded ends of RMC or IMC where neither length of conduit can be rotated.

b. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 shall have the bushing and case made from malleable iron and the inner threaded ring made from steel or malleable iron.

c. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 shall be zinc-plated with chromate coating.

d. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 675AL shall be made from copper-free aluminum.

e. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 and 675AL shall be suitable for concrete-tight applications.

f. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 shall handle ground fault current up to 10,000A RMS (1/2” to 1-1/2” trade sizes) and 20,000A RMS (2” and above trade sizes).

g. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 and 675AL shall have straight pipe threads (NPS).

h. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 and 675AL shall comply with Federal Specification A-A- 50553.

i. Erickson® 3-piece coupling series 674 and 675AL shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

2. Panel Connector Extensions

a. Panel connector extension series 1440 shall be used with any fitting with a male thread to extended the male threaded portion by 1” minimum.

b. Panel connector extensions shall be made from malleable iron with a zinc-plating.

c. Panel connector extensions shall cover a conduit trade size range from 1/2" to 1-1/4”.

3. Male Enlargers

a. Male enlarger series 1245 shall be used to adapter outlet hole or knockout to the next size conduit trade size.

b. Male enlarger series 1245 shall be made of malleable iron with zinc-plated finish.

c. Male enlarger series 1245 shall have a built-in bushing throat to cover rough ends of conduit.

d. Male enlarger series 1245 shall enlarge the following conduit hole sizes.

1) 1/2" to 3/4"

2) 3/4" to 1”

3) 1” to 1-1/4”

4) 1-1/4” to 1-1/2”

e. Male enlarger series 1245 shall be suitable for hazardous locations use in Class I, Division 2, Class II, Division 1 and 2 and Class III where general purpose equipment is specifically permitted per the NEC.

f. Male enlarger series 1245 shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

4. Female Reducers

a. Female reducer series 1250-TB shall be used to reduce down an outlet hole or

knockout to the next size conduit trade size.

b. Female reducer series 1250-TB shall be made from malleable iron with a zinc-plated finish.

c. Female reducer series 1250-TB shall cover conduit trade sizes from 1/2" to 4” reducing them down to next small size.

d. Female reducer series 1250-TB shall have hex shoulder for easy wrenching.

e. Female reducer series 1250-TB shall be suitable for hazardous locations use in Class I, Division 2, Class II, Division 1 and 2 and Class III where general purpose equipment is specifically permitted per the NEC.

f. Female reducer series 1250-TB shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

5. Threaded Reducers

a. Threaded reducer series 600TB and 600ALTB shall be used to reduce threaded conduit openings or any female threaded fitting to the next smaller conduit size.

b. Threaded reducer series 600TB and 600ALTB shall cover a conduit trade size from 1/2” to 4” reducing them down to the next size conduit trade size.

c. Threaded reducer series 600TB shall be made from malleable iron with zinc-plated finish.

d. Threaded reducer series 600ALTB shall be made from copper-free aluminum.

e. Threaded reducer series 600TB and 600ALTB shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

K. Conduit Accessories

1. Stainless steel pipe strap series TS101-SS (one-hole) and TS901-SS (two-hjole) shall be used to strap EMT conduit in applications requiring high corrosion resistance.

2. Stainless steel pipe strap series HS100-SS (one hole) and HS901-SS (two-hole) shall be used to strap RMC or IMC in applications requiring high corrosion resistance.

3. Reducing washer series 3700 shall be used to reduce a knockout hole in an outlet box.

4. Malleable iron zinc-plated pipe strap series 1275 shall be used to strap EMT, RMC or IMC in trade sizes 1/2" to 6”.

5. Aluminum (copper-free) pipe strap series 1275AL shall be used to strap EMT, RMC or IMC in trades sizes 1/2" to 4” requiring more corrosion protection.

6. PVC coated malleable iron pipe strap series 1275CR shall be used to strap RMC or IMC conduit in highly corrosive environments.

7. Pipe spacer series 1350 (malleable iron, zinc-plated), 1350AL (copper-free aluminum), and 1350CR (PVC coated) shall be used as a mounting surface for conduits requiring an air space with the mounting surface.
