Saint Joseph WorkerPosition Description 2020-2021Cretin-Derham Hall High SchoolThe Saint Joseph Worker position at Cretin-Derham Hall is full-time position in campus ministry. The SJW reports to on-site supervisor, the Director of Campus Ministry. The position focuses on the many aspects of campus ministry: justice education, liturgy, retreats and a pastoral presence with students, faculty and staff. These aspects reflect Cretin-Derham Hall’s commitment to Leadership, Community, Service, Diversity and Equity. The Saint Joseph Worker should have a willingness to: Lead and be a self-starter.Identify her skill sets and take initiative in creating her position description for the experience.Willing to be open to working in a Catholic school climate and respect the faith traditions present there.Contribute to the Cretin-Derham Hall community.Connect students to service opportunities with at-risk youth, Habitat for Humanity, as well as other timely justice related initiatives. Attend faculty/staff meetings as requested by her supervisor.Meet with site supervisor weekly.Meet with campus ministry team weekly.Attend Religion Department meetings as requested by her supervisor.Select two co-curricular groups (and/or create a new one) and participate in that group throughout the year (examples: Solidarity (diversity), Green Team, Justice Summit, Justice Week Planning Team, Lasallian Youth, Justice Education Trips committee).3. Accompany students on various immersion experiences (examples: Habitat For Humanity, Leap for Children, Tutor Thy Neighbor, Feed My Starving Children).Organize, publicize, and supervise immersion experiences and service learning.Bring joy, humor, flexibility and faith to the team and school community. ................
