ARI - Always Reaching for Independence

After a significant amount of consideration, the Irish American Culture Society of Stamford (IACSOS) has decided to cancel this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade due to COVID-19. The top priority for the IACSOS is the health, safety and well-being of all parade participants and members of our community. The IACSOS sponsors the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and this year would have marked the 26th anniversary of our traditional parade. In lieu of the parade, the IACSOS will be hosting a “Parade of Giving” to benefit many worthwhile community organizations in Stamford from now until March 17th. There will be a caravan of decorated cars parading to these organizations to drop off the goods collected on St. Patrick’s Day. The non-profits chosen will benefit the young, elderly, disabled, disadvantaged, homeless and hungry right here in our community.
