This is also done to ensure there is consistency and uniformity in the process. Members of the TA team: Coordinated and attended Employment Champion meeting with ICIE and SE providers.Met with regional CEOs to discuss the possibility of continued partnerships to support training and access to online learning platforms. The conversation was very positive and built on previous collaborations that the TA team has had with this group.Attended a meeting that ISAC/QSDA hosted that asked for providers’ preferences for upgrades that could be made to the CSN portal for outcomes reporting. It was also discussed at this meeting next steps to ensure that the data that is being collected is consistent with other system stakeholders. There will be more dialogue about this effort. Had contact with several of the regions that indicated they are interested in piloting the C3 de-escalation initiative with select providers. Work is being done to formalize this process and gain consistency between each region as this moves forward.Consulted with three agencies individually concerning responding to CAPs as requested by an MCO. Met with ICIE staff and representative from IME to begin work on materials to use at a supported employment summit to inform providers, care coordinators, and MCOs. Met with the Managed Care Long Term Care Ombudsman and Disability Rights Iowa to discuss how to assist members in navigating the Managed Care provider appeals process. Training will be offered to providers to assist them in supporting members as they navigate grievances concerning their care. HCBS WAIVER AND HABILITATION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE In July 2017, 52 technical assistance inquiries were processed and completed. Monthly technical assistance numbers are noted in the graph below. EMPLOYMENT SERVICESBeginning November 1, 2016, IACP contracted with ICIE as part of the Technical Assistance enhance training and facilitation opportunities around employment services.?The activities are reported below. Members of the TA team:Participated in weekly TA team calls.Responded to TA questions related to employment.Participated in planning, coordination, and facilitation of IACP’s Monthly Employment Advisory Committee call and provided information to members regarding career exploration resources. Continued development of employment matrix.Met with IME program staff to discuss, review, and plan MCO Employment Summit.Attended Story County Transportation Collaborative Meeting with Progress Industries staff to identify transportation resources for Story County residents in rural areas of the county. Met with Passageway staff to discuss HCBS employment services and processes. They want to begin to offer employment services to Passageway members.Connected with Polk County Employment Guiding Coalition to discuss training opportunities for Polk County providers and case management staff around HCBS employment rules. Attended IACP monthly advisory meeting and addressed employment-related questions.Developed Employment 1st Webinar Training Series for MCO/county case managers/care coordinators which are archived for future viewing. Hosted roll-out webinar to promote package of employment training series and had 160 attendees.Met with East Central Region providers and other stakeholders to discuss regional employment efforts and specifically reviewed business/industry engagement efforts.Researched Request for Applications: Disability Network Business Acumen Learning Collaborative and met with IACP to discuss the potential benefits to HCBS service providers and determine if it would be appropriate to pursue. Determined it was not the best time to pursue based on program requirements/benefits.Provided information to providers on professional development opportunities.Reached out to IME policy staff for guidance on TA and provider manual updates.Shared Action Alerts with wider audience for advocacy efforts.Disseminated important announcements from IACP to ICIE mailing list.TA TRAININGCentralized/Web-Based TrainingThe TA team is working on coordinating a webinar training on Host Homes to be held August 24 @ 11AM. Several recordings focused on employment services were made and posted for use on the ICIE YouTube page. In addition, recordings of their past webinars have been posted to the DirectCourse LMS. Regional TrainingTA Regional Training: Fall Regional Training is tentatively scheduled October 2-5, 2017. Of the agencies using the system, 12% are non-IACP members. The change in total participating agencies is due to mergers, acquisitions and closures. DIRECTCOURSE: SYSTEM USE AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE - Organizations utilizing the system have enrolled 18,800 active learners. In July 2017, there were 61 requests for DirectCourse TA assistance. Total monthly contacts are summarized below. Since Iowa began using DirectCourse, through July 2017, learners have completed 858,997lessons. July 2017 training completion totaled 16,330 lessons. The chart below summarizes the total number of training units completed each month. ................
