Call for Silent Auction Items for 2009 AAC Conference in Cleveland, Ohio

The American Adoption Congress will be hosting a Silent Auction at the 2009 Annual Conference to be held in Cleveland, Ohio. The auction will be held Friday April 24th from 9am to 5 pm. All proceeds from the auction are used to award scholarships for future AAC Conferences. More awards will be issued depending on the amount of money raised at the auction. These awards are publicly acknowledged during the conference and will serve to recognize individuals who have made and will continue to make significant contributions to the AAC in the coming year.

We are seeking items to be donated for the auction. All items are considered charitable contributions and you will receive a tax contribution letter for your item. If you would like to donate an item or would like our letter to use to solicit items on behalf of the AAC, please contact Lynne Banks at lbanks8928@sio. or 605-335-8027, or Katy Perkins, kathrynkperkins@ and we will be happy to provide a sample letter for you to use.

Please consider the following when donating or soliciting items –

• Items need to be easily carried (as many people arrive and leave by plane and there are numerous restrictions) or easily shipped.

• We can hold and store items for you. Items can be shipped to me and I will bring them to the conference as I will be driving.

• We are looking for items in the value range not to exceed $150 and are seeking 2 items ranging in value from $300 - $500 (such as trips).

Below is a list of suggested items suitable for the auction and of course, we welcome any ideas and suggestions!
