Experience

Derek began his career in the built environment as a carpenter for a general contractor. After several years of hands-on renovation and historic preservation experience, he pursued his bachelor and masters degrees so he could be the engineer behind the structures. He joined SSF in 2015 and has provided structural design solutions for a variety renovation, historic renovation and new projects.
