Lemon-Cinnamon Fog

Lemon-Cinnamon Fog

For the Lemon-Cinnamon Simple Syrup: 1 cup water 1 cup granulated white sugar 7 cinnamon sticks Zest from 2 lemons 1 whole vanilla bean, scraped

Instructions: 1. Add water, sugar, cinnamon, zest, vanilla seeds and the vanilla pod in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. 2. Turn off the heat and allow the syrup to steep for at least 20 minutes, longer is fine, too. (You can allow the syrup to completely cool to room temperature then strain, if preferred.) 3. Strain into a container (I like a glass jar) and refrigerate for up to a month.

For the tea: 10 ounces water 2 Teavana Peach Tranquility tea bags 1/3 ? ? cup half and half Lemon-Cinnamon Simple Syrup, see recipe above

Instructions: 1. Bring the water to a boil in a microwave safe cup or mug. You can also use an electric kettle to bring the water up to a boil then pour into your mug. I like to use Adagio Tea's Ingenuitea teapot. See Notes below for information on this teapot. 2. Place the 2 teabags in the water and steep for 5 minutes. 3. While tea is steeping, using a 2-cup microwave-safe measuring cup, warm and froth the half and half. You can do this in the microwave. Set aside. 4. After steeping tea bags for 5 minutes, remove the bags and discard. 5. Add the half and half. 6. Add as much syrup as desired. Gently stir and enjoy!
