Another feature I love about this machine is the large 60 oz. single water reservoir that is shared between single serve and carafe brewing. The machine is super simple to operate and has several helpful features so you can brew the perfect cup of aromatic and flavorful coffee every time. When brewing with the carafe, after placing a 12 cup paper filter in the filter basket and adding your desired amount of ground coffee, simply press the CUPS button and select your brew size (8, 10 or 12 cups). Brewing with the carafe has several efficient features. The Smart Start feature heats then automatically brews in one process eliminating the need to wait for the brewer to heat. It also has a Pause & Pour feature that allows for a 20 second pause mid brew so you can grab a cup without waiting for the entire brew to be done.
