Production Shift Supervisor Plant Operations Operations Manager Full Time, Exempt

Summary Responsible for managing all aspects of the operations of the ethanol plant, including supervision of productions teams and control room operators. Provide oversight and leadership to Production Staff and manage plant site during shift. Provide supervision, oversight and discipline and feedback to Production Operators. Provide supervision to all employees during hours as most senior position.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties 1. Safety: Develop, promote and enforce safety in the workplace by actively demanding that employees work safely and setting and personally demonstrating safe work habits. 2. Employee Training: Responsible for the development and training of employees under his/her span of control. Also Responsible for communication of any employee issues that may require management attention, including disciplinary actions. 3. Overall Operations Knowledge: By working to understand all aspects of production at the facility the supervisor will demonstrate the requirement for cooperation and teamwork. 4. Audit and review all SOPs. Train operators with plant SOPs. 5. Maintain optimum quality and consistency of products produced by the plant. 6. Mechanical systems and Maintenance Department interface includes communication of mechanical concerns to the appropriate personnel 7. Demonstrate cost and quality consciousness at all times and in all decisions. 8. Manage workforce scheduling as needed to meet fluctuating demands and coverage needs. 9. Supervise Production personnel during shift. Provide feedback, discipline and training to accomplish the shift assignments. 10. The Shift Leader will also perform other duties as assigned and recognize that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the plant. Additionally, it must be recognized that assigned shift rotations may change.

Qualifications ? Excellent written and verbal skills ? Ability to handle multiple tasks ? Ability to work well with others and ability to work independently ? Previous supervisory and/or ethanol/process experience preferred. ? Exemplify the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of the Company ? Valid driver's license and clear background check. Must be able to obtain MidAm security clearance

Education and Experience ? High school graduate or GED equivalent ? College course work or a college degree a plus. ? Prior supervisory/management experience is preferred.
