Job Description: Under the direction of the Director, with latitude for independent judgment, the Manager of Contract Management will:

Assessment Tools and Protocols: Streamline and modify the Senior Center and other service assessment tools on an annual basis and as needed, ensuring that the assessment process is fair, clear and consistent across the board.

Revision and Maintenance of Relevant Standards: Coordinate the revision of Senior Center Operating Standards and standards for other related services, bring them up to date based on DFTA goals and objectives and in line with current NYSOFA service regulations.

Technical Assistance for Contracted Programs: Establish consistent technical assistance practices and contract administration protocols across all teams of Program Officers.

Staff Development: Develop training and professional development curriculum for program staff to effectively fulfill the changing roles required to support and properly administer the senior center contracts.

Overseeing Service Contracts and Supervision: Act as a multi-disciplinary team leader. Supervise a team of Program Officers. Supervise activities involving planning, implementation and coordination of internal unit operations. Develop and oversee contract management activities for programs. Identify and make recommendations regarding programmatic issues with assigned programs. Make recommendations regarding team functions, processes and assignments. Assure that appropriate programmatic and administrative technical assistance is provided to programs. Meet with assigned staff regularly and as needed and insure that work directives are understood and appropriately carried out. Interact regularly and develop strong relationships with DFTA contracted programs; gather necessary information from programs in a timely manner and present information clearly and efficiently; represent DFTA in a highly professional manner in the community. Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Minimum Qualification: 1. Graduation from an accredited college with a baccalaureate degree and five (5) years of full-time, professional experience in social services, community relations, public administration or management, of which at least one year must have been in the field of aging, and of which at least one and one-half years must have been in an administrative or managerial capacity; or 2. Education and experience equivalent to "1" above. However, all candidates must have one year of experience in the field of aging and one and one-half years of experience in an administrative or managerial capacity. Preferred Skills:

Successful experience in supervision of staff. Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks and work under tight time line. Excellent verbal and writing skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of DFTA's Senior Tracking, Analysis and Reporting Systems (STARS) and the Bureau's Provider

Assessment System (PAS).
