Patrolman - One full time police officer position needed to serve and protect the Hannahville Indian Community through active law enforcement. Duties include investigate and prepare written reports of calls for service and violations of Tribal, State and Federal laws, standard patrol activity, make arrests, render medical assistance, appear before Tribal, State or Federal Courts and assisting the general public.

Qualifications - HS Diploma or GED; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle stress and make accurate precise decisions; must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license, be a Michigan resident and willing to relocate within the required residential radius, no felony convictions and a satisfactory driving record, must successful complete a background investigation and drug and alcohol testing.

Wage - $15.00 hour based on Police Academy certification. There is a one-year probationary period.

Fringe benefits include: Health, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance and 401 K. Short term and long-term disability and additional life insurance are optional at the employee’s expense.
