| 14. General Summary of Function/Purpose of Position |
|As the recognized resource, the Campaign to End Homelessness Coordinator is responsible for the structural components of the Campaign, i.e., is the link |
|between state government and other key agencies working to end homelessness. This includes the governor’s ordered Michigan Interagency Council on Homelessness|
|(MI ICH). The MI ICH consists of leaders from eight state agencies, four members of the public and a member of the courts. This position facilitates meetings|
|and efforts to advance the priorities of the council. This recognized resource position supports the Michigan Homeless Policy Council (MHPC) and the Campaign |
|Workgroups. This position researches national best practices on homelessness policy and makes recommendations to the MHPC for new programs or initiatives in |
|Michigan. The position works with CSH, MCAH, and the US HUD to ensure trainings on ending homelessness occur statewide as needed. The position oversees the |
|Annual Summit on Ending Homelessness, specifically chairing the Planning & Content Committees for this event. The recognized resource also works with MHPC to |
|prepare the Annual State of Homelessness in Michigan report. This position oversees specific homeless counts as the state moves to end homelessness among |
|targeted populations, e.g., Veterans and Chronic Homelessness. |

|As a recognized resource, serve as the analyst and facilitator to ensure the structural components of Michigan’s Campaign to End Homelessness are adhered to by|
|local nonprofit recipients of state/federal housing dollars and state and nonprofit Campaign leaders. Prepare presentations for the Michigan Interagency |
|Council on Homelessness, manage and coordinate the work done by the Council as it interfaces with state department staff and non-profit agencies across |
|Michigan. Provide facilitation to the Michigan Homeless Policy Council (MHPC) to ensure that their work is coordinated with all Campaign Partners and the MI |
|ICH and statewide workgroups. Participate in special committees related to homelessness for RAHS. |
|Individual tasks related to the duty. |
|Provide support to the Campaign structure through planning and coordination of the U.S. and Michigan Interagency Council on Homelessness, the MHPC, and the |
|statewide workgroups. Provide written and verbal feedback to the Michigan Interagency Council on Homelessness, MHPC, and Statewide Workgroups. |
|Work with team and workgroup leaders, sharing their activities and status with the division manager and director. |
|Research HUD regulations as necessary and provide updates to the teams, workgroups, and the manager. |
|Research national best practices, analyze data, and make recommendations on ending homelessness. Share the results with MSHDA management and the MHPC and |
|develop the guidelines for the best practices to be shared within Michigan. |
|Write guidelines for the MI ICH, MHPC, and Workgroups as needed. |
|Research other State’s policies and procedures and review Federal guidelines for establishing policy and by-laws for the MI ICH, assuring that the Executive |
|Order that created the MI ICH is adhered to. |
|Participate in the homeless planning track for the Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC). |
|Work with HUD, CSH, MCAH, and other national agencies to facilitate statewide training needs. |
|Participate in task forces and committees as designated by the MI ICH and MHPC to achieve specific statewide objectives. |

|As a recognized resource, serve as the analyst and leader to ensure completion of the required Annual State of Homelessness in Michigan report. |

|Work with Michigan Homeless Policy Council (MHPC) to produce the Annual State of Homelessness in Michigan. |

|Prepare the layout, written material, data, statistics, and best practices for this annual report that will be used by HUD, the directors of state agencies, |
|state senators and representatives, city governments, and nonprofit agencies to inform them of homelessness counts and population types. This is important |
|data that heightens awareness of homelessness on a state and local level and to bring federal housing dollars to Michigan. |

|Inform, prepare PowerPoint, and present to the Michigan Interagency Council on Homelessness. |

|Work with MHPC to determine how this annual report will be disseminated to the state legislature, city officials, and HUD. |

|Planning Committee: Work with potential venues, collecting proposals for future conferences, assuring they are capable of accommodating the event as close as |
|possible to state government rates. Create a spreadsheet with comparison of costs and other necessities, then make recommendations to the Planning Team for |
|review and decision making. Work with venue and outside AV agencies to get the best possible rates for the service and equipment needed for the conference, |
|build a team for technical assistance when that is the most cost-effective way to handle conference needs. Facilitate the registration process, chair monthly |
|Planning Committee meeting keeping other state agencies informed, work with MSHDA Government & Media affairs to ensure Summit materials are high quality and |
|within budget. Prepare, e-mail, and analyze Summit survey information post event. |

|Content Committee: Work to locate a moving key-note speaker and ensure that sessions are informative and presented by knowledgeable people with innovative |
|practices in ending homelessness at a low cost. |

|Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major. |
