Employee NameDivisionJob TitleJob Classification CodeFLSA StatusVolunteer CoordinatorGrade 6NonexemptReports to:FTEState Wide FAIM DirectorFull-timeEmployee’s SignatureDateSupervisor’s SignatureDatePRIMARY FUNCTIONSAssist in coordination of Live Well At Home grantAssist in acquiring volunteers for the transportation program through Live Well At Home grantAGENCY EXPECTATIONSAdhere to Agency policies and procedures.Acts as a role model within and outside the Agency.Provide friendly, responsive service to the public, community organizations and to those we serve.With a respectful and positive attitude, work with low-income individuals and families with diverse backgrounds.Support, develop and maintain productive relationships required to carry out job activities.Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management.Maintain the security and confidentiality of all records and interpersonal interactions.Serve as an advocate.Work effectively and cooperatively with community partners and co-workers.Participate in Agency-wide and program events.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum BA/BS in Human Services, sociology, Volunteer Mgmt or related field1-3 years of experience working with older adults and/or volunteers, or a combination of education and experience in social services delivery systems.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to follow oral and written directions Ability to work with the publicProof of valid driver’s license and current/adequate vehicle insurance coveragePreferredDemonstrated understanding of diverse backgrounds and culturesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCoordination of volunteer management for the Live Well At Home Grant: Coordinate volunteer recruitmentComplete monthly/yearly reports Develop active involvement and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, leaders, and senior focused programs to assess needs, and advocate for senior volunteers as resources in the community.Collaborate with a wide variety of nonprofit agencies and organizations in development of new volunteer drivers and new opportunities to meet identified priority needs.Periodically meet with and provide information to County Commissioners, Social Services Directors and Senior Service providers to maintain positive relations and ongoing local support.Coordinate volunteer driver program for 130 volunteers in 5 Counties. Assist WCMCA programs with recruiting volunteers, as needed.Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems, unusual or extraordinary matters of significance coming to his/her attention, so that prompt corrective action can be taken as needed.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
