A BILL

for

1 AN ACT relating to insurance plans; limiting participation

2 in the state employees' and officials' group insurance plan

3 as specified; and providing for an effective date.

5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. W.S. 9-3-201 by creating a new subsection

8 (g) is amended to read:

9-3-201. Group prepaid plans authorized; agreements

11 with insurance companies authorized; limitation on

12 authorized plans and companies; payroll deductions;

13 self-insurance programs; optional school district

14 participation in plan.

(g) No political subdivision other than a school

2 district or board of cooperative educational services shall

3 be eligible to elect to initially participate in the

4 Wyoming state employees' and officials' group insurance

5 plan on or after April 1, 2020. Any political subdivision

6 other than a school district or board of cooperative

7 educational services which is participating in the plan

8 prior to April 1, 2020 shall not be eligible to renew

9 participation in the plan after the expiration of the

10 political subdivision's initial participation period. This

11 subsection is repealed effective June 30, 2021.

Section 2. This act is effective April 1, 2020.
