How to use the logos

Step #1 Download the logo pack from the toolkit online or look in the logo folder in the

Graphics & Collateral section of your toolkit CD.

Step #2 On the CD, the files will be individuals; online, the logo pack will be a .zipped file.

To open it, double click it and save the logos where you like.

Step #3 Review logo usage below to determine which logo file you need.

Logo usage

All of these files were created in Illustrator and Photoshop CS2 on a PC. All Illustrator files (.eps) are saved down to version Illustrator 8. All other files (.jpg, .gif and .tiff) may be opened in Photoshop.

For web

Use these files online ONLY

For large print (with professionals)

Use these files for banners, T-shirts, plaques, promotional items. You may not be able to open them, but your printer will. These files can be scaled as large as a house and as small as a graphic for a pen.

Use these files to develop day-to-day materials you would print from your desktop: PowerPoints, word docs, etc.

How to reproduce the response card

Step #1 Ask your printer whether they prefer the native InDesign file or the print pdf.

Step #2 Download the appropriate file, “N” or “P” from the toolkit online or look in the Graphics & Collateral section of your toolkit CD.

Step #3 Tell your printer you need:

(Quantity), 3.5 x 8.5 finished size, 4/4, cover stock, uncoated response cards

And send them the files.

Step #4 Request a “proof” of the file and compare it to your printed version to be sure that the files are reproducing correctly. Make corrections and approve the file to print when you are sure it is correct.

Note: These files were created on a PC. The native files were created in

InDesign.

How to reproduce the tri-fold brochure

Step #1 Ask your printer whether they prefer the native InDesign file or the print pdf.

Step #2 Download the appropriate file, “N” or “P” from the toolkit online or look in the Graphics & Collateral section of your toolkit CD.

Step #3 Tell your printer you need:

(Quantity), 8.5 x 11 tri-fold brochures, 4/4, standard cover stock. Uncoated, roll fold. And send them the files.

Step #4 Request a “proof” of the file and compare it to your printed version to be sure

that the files are reproducing correctly. Make corrections and approve the file to

print when you are sure it is correct.

Note: These files were created on a PC. The native files were created in

InDesign. There is a .125 bleed included.

How to reproduce the tabletop display for brochure

Step #1 You can go to: and order item SKU# BRSLK40. Or, use the Reorder Request online, or fax the form.

How to reproduce the eight-page booklet

Step #1 Ask your printer whether they prefer the

Step #2 Download the appropriate file, “N” or “P” from the toolkit online or look in the Graphics & Collateral section of your toolkit CD.

(Quantity), 8.5 x 11, 4pg + cover, 4/4, saddle-stitch booklets, 70# or 80# text and standard uncoated cover stock for cover. And send them the files.

Step #4 Request a “proof” of the file and compare it to your printed version to be sure that the files are reproducing correctly. Make corrections and approve the file to print when you are sure it is correct.

How to reproduce the bumper sticker

Step #1 Ask your printer whether they prefer the native file (.eps, . .indd or .tiff) or the

print pdf.

Step #3 Tell your printer you need:

(Quantity), 10 x 3, 4/0 bumper stickers. And send them the files.

Step #4 Request a “proof” of the file and compare it to your printed version to be sure that the files are reproducing correctly. Make corrections and approve the file to print when you are sure it is correct.

How to reproduce the T-shirt

Step #1 Ask your printer whether they prefer the

native file (.eps, or .tiff) or the print pdf.

Step #2 Download the appropriate file, “N” or “P” from the toolkit online or look in the Graphics & Collateral section of your toolkit CD.

Step #3 Tell your printer you need:

(Quantity), 3 color front only design, White, detail sizes, shirts. And send them the files.

Step #4 Request a “proof” of the file and compare it to your printed version to be sure that the files are reproducing correctly. Make corrections and approve the file to print when you are sure it is correct.

Illustrator and Photoshop.

How to use the letterhead

Step #1 Download the Microsoft Word Letterhead file from the toolkit online or look in the Graphics & Collateral section of your toolkit CD.

Step #2 Personalize your letterhead

Open the Letterhead file.

In the toolbar, click on View:

Header and Footer

The line of copy at the bottom is for you to customize your letterhead so that it reflects your phone number and e-mail. Please modify only those two items.

Scroll Down to the footer, highlight “Phone Number” and type yours in.

Be sure to include your area code.

Highlight “E-mail” and type yours in.

Check to make sure the font is still Tahoma 8pt, and text is still centered.

Check to make sure you still have dashes between phone number and e-mail, e-mail and Web site.

Click on “Close” in the Header and Footer Toolbar.

Save the Letterhead in your personal files.

You now have a version that will always be customized with your information.

The letterhead can be printed on any printer, in color or black and white. It is also ready to go for mail merges. All you have to do is open it and start typing like normal.

Note: This file is not intended for professional reproduction, but if you want to

create “stock” of the letterhead, take the file to a copy shop and have color

copies or prints made, or print in-house.

How to use the print ad

Step #1 Ask the publication you are placing it in whether they prefer the native InDesign file or the print pdf. Also determine if you need a color or black and white file.

Step #2 Download the appropriate file, “N” or “P” from the toolkit online or look in the Graphics & Collateral section of your toolkit CD.

Step #3 Send your ad to the publication. The size of the ad is 6 x 10.75. Ask the publication if they can help you resize it if necessary.

InDesign and Photoshop. They are available in both color and black and white formats.

How to reproduce the

American Trauma Society brochure

Step #1            Download the PDF from online or look in the Graphics & Collateral section

of your toolkit CD.

Step #2            Print in house on your own printer in color or black and white, or get

copies/prints made at a local copy shop.
