New Families (Beginning the 1st Week of May): Scroll down to see if you pre-qualify for a Step Up For Students Scholarship and then continue with following steps. If you have any questions please call Paul Garcia.

 

Renewing families (Beginning the 1st week of March): If your income has increased from the previous year you may still qualify for 50%, 75%, or the full 100% scholarship depending upon your gross household income for 2010.It is worth taking the time to still re-apply.

 

What is the Step Up For Students (SUFS) Program?

Step Up For Students is an initiative of the Florida Tax Credit (FTC) Scholarship Program. The scholarship will cover up to $4300 for private school tuition for the 2011-2012 school year.

 

You may qualify for a SUFS Scholarship if:

• Your child is entering1st grade

• OR your child is entering 2nd through 8th grade and attended a Florida public school for the 2011-2012 school year.

• Your household income is at or below the amount shown on the income guidelines chart below.

Step 1:  Go online to complete the application

Step 2:  Print out your completed copy. All of the instructions are available on the instruction page that prints out with your completed application.

Step 3:  Sign it.

Step 4:  Compile all of the required documentation.

Step 5:  Make copies of your application, documentation, and money order for future reference.

Step 6:  Mail it with the processing fee ($30 Money Order only -1 per family) to the Florida Processing Center (FPS) in Jacksonville.  Mail it by regular first class mail. Do not overnight or express mail or request a signature. If you do not include your money order your application will not be processed.

Step 7:  10-14 days after you have mailed your packet go online to and click on parents, and log-in to confirm that it has been received and to see if any further documentation is needed.
