STOCK MARKET CHALLENGE

Over the six weeks, we will be creating “fictional” stock portfolios, and tracking the progress of our investments. At the end of the game, we will compare the value of our portfolios, and we will crown our class “Stock Challenge Champion.”

The Rules:

1. Everyone must create their portfolio by April 11th, 2014.

2. The challenge will conclude on June 6th, 2014.

3. Everyone has $100,000 CDN to invest.

4. A minimum of $50,000 must be invested at all times.

5. Stocks can be bought and sold at any time over the course of the contest. There is no limit to the number of transactions that can be made.

6. Contestants should be aware that commissions of $19.99 apply to each stock trade that you make.

Instructions:

4. On the following screen, click on “Browse Investopedia Games”.

5. The name for our game is “Fishers Futures 2011” and the password is “thefishisinthepond”.

6. Click on “Portfolio”, and you’ll be taken to the following screen:

7. Within your portfolio, you can now begin to trade stocks. Make sure you’re trading stocks in the Fishers Futures 2011 Stock Challenge game – not the Default Game.

8. To trade stocks, click on “Trade Stocks” and the following screen will appear:

➢ You can find out the ticker symbols for companies using the “Symbol Lookup” link
