June 27, 2018To my “Lovelies”,I can’t believe that it’s the end of the school year already but summer vacation is around the corner! In a matter of hours, you’ll be off for two months and when you come back, if you come back, you’ll be in a different grade with a different teacher.3531235129349500When I look back upon this year, I have so many different memories. Memories of you all doing your work; memories of you all NOT doing your work. Memories of the good times (boy, did I ever laugh a lot this year!) and memories of the not-so-good times (yeah, I did have to raise my voice a few times, didn’t I….). Memories of all the songs that we’ve sung (I’ll NEVER get our version of “My Favourite Things” out of my head!). You may or may not remember all the things I’ve taught you this year but it’s well known that you will remember the things that you actually do and the experiences that you’ve actually had. Just think about all the field trips we’ve been on! Starting with the Science Centre and ending with our tour of JazzFM (with TBG, Ripley’s, ROM, Zoo, CCDT in between), we really made sure that we saw Toronto!I’ve always loved your inquisitive (look this up in a dictionary!) minds. You’ve spent the year asking me questions and I’ve always tried to answer them as best as I could. My favourite question was always: “Do you like us?” and to answer that, my LOVELIES, what do you think? My “precept” about this one is “Never stop asking questions” because knowledge is power (except for you, Huy, your limit is 4 per day ;-)). When we started this year, I told you all that you were AMAZING and that you were SUPERSMART in your own way. I know a lot of you didn’t’ believe me at first but time and again, you’ve proven to me that yes, every one of you is AMAZING and yes, every one of you is SUPERSMART!
