Let?s listen to the Christmas Story! (see weblink). After reading the story ask some questions about the story: Why was Jesus born in a stable? How many Wise men/Kings visited baby Jesus? What gifts did they bring? Hand out the nativity role-play masks and re-tell the story together. Spread a handshake around the classroom and offer messages of peace.Group work: 1. Nativity Scene Light a candle & talk about the Christmas story (Teacher guided): Say to chn: Can you remember names of people? Were there animals there? What would be inside the stable? What materials would you need to make a nativity? Refer to the Information sheet on Nativity model ideas (session resource). Chn can make their own Nativity scenes using food as done in some cultures (not for eating), junk modelling, modelling clay or Lego. 2.
