I can't speak for the actual process of investigating these mysteries, but I can speak for the content of the book. I really enjoyed this read and I can tell without a doubt that my kids and I will enjoy these together. This book will be a fun, no stress, summer activity for our Homeschool. I really hope Kara does more books like these, as it's such a simple concept, but she does all the leg work for those of us who need a stress free non-overwhelming way to enjoy history with our children.

For less than 3 bucks, this is a unique purchase for a unit study or a supplement to your normal history curriculum. It is a very short read. It gives a brief synopsis of the mystery and then gives you

ideas for plenty of sources to help you flesh out the study a bit. If you are hoping for a meaty curriculum, this is not what you meant. I thought it was a fun idea though and I think the kids will love going through them. I am not very creative and prefer to pay for someone else to gather these resources together for me.

I don't like to give books negative reviews, but this is SO not what I hoped for. The mysteries consist of a paragraph of two just offering the briefest, most basic information on each topic. The rest of the book is links to other sources.

I have skimmed through the book and absolutely love the way this plan for history is layed out. Talk about making history simple but fun! This is the perfect relaxed approach we've been looking for, and now all I have to do is dig in and start the fun!
