2004- 2010: Terumo Heart, Inc., Ann Arbor, MI– VP of Plant Operations

• As a key member of executive management, developed strategic and detailed business planning for successful LVAD system CE Mark approval, and EU commercial launch.

• Established a quality system necessary to meet ISO 13485, AIMDD and 21CFR820. Successfully led company through various audits with zero major findings.

• Negotiated multi-million dollar supplier agreements for electronic instrumentation, medical device sub-systems, and finished devices. Year-over-year cost savings exceed 2+ Million dollars. Implemented various technology platforms to reduce costs.

• To facilitate rapid growth led facility expansion and capital equipment improvement projects. Established 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

• RelayTM Thoracic Stent Graft: Supported cross functional teams to complete design freeze for the Stent Graft and Delivery System.

2000 – 2003: Novoste Corporation, Norcross, GA – Director of Engineering

1998 – 2000: Novoste Corp., Bellshill, Scotland – Manager of European Operations

• As a key member of the Novoste Corporation management team we grew the business from $1 M to $30+ M in about 1 year of product launch and $70M in year 2.

• Developed and implemented a successful engineering and operations strategy leading to EU commercialization within 7 months of joining the company.

• Implemented and managed Novoste Corporation’s first European manufacturing and distribution facility to support commercialization of the Beta CathTM System in Europe and ROW. Managed all aspects of the operations including procurement, production, planning, engineering, and distribution.

• Inherited production yields as low as 10%. Within 18 months turned around production yields above 95%.

• Implemented cost improvement and avoidance projects totaling over $15 million dollars over the life-time of the product.

• Successfully launched the first commercial Brachytherapy PMA product in the US.

1995 – 1998: Boston Scientific, Watertown, MA - Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

• Successfully completed the re-introduction of a key product within 2 months of joining the team thus increasing revenues by over $20M.

• Developed a new balloon forming process saving company millions of dollars per year.

• Successfully transferred into production over a dozen product development projects leading to commercialization.
