To support and lead a variety of strategic efforts inclusive of playing a pivotal role in building Group and Subsidiary annual/long-term strategic plans. This position is crucial to the Group's ability to establish its short, medium, and long-term plans in a highly challenging sector. You will need to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, and leads cross-functional teams in the development of Group-wide operational strategies.

This role will require someone with a combination of technical and softer skills ? how you do things is often as important as what you do. The success in this role demands a strong strategic and analytical orientation coupled with exceptional communication skills as well as a highly developed collaborative nature.

Vision, energy, enthusiasm and focus are required but also contextual sensitivity and the ability to work effectively across a broad spectrum of people.

Experience

Essential ? Experience of working and reporting to Boards and Committees ? At least 2 years of working experience in a corporate strategy position within a fast-paced and dynamic

business environment. ? Proven track record on interacting with Senior Management in a highly sensitive and collaborative to agree

the Group's strategic direction. ? Proven ability to clearly convey information and instructions, which will determine the effectiveness with

which strategies are executed across the Group ? Experience of building appropriate and effective networks, locally and Group-wide for the benefit of our

communities ? Excellent communication skills for the delivery of regular reports for the business's leadership, which must

be easily digestible, unambiguous, engaging, informative and convincing. ? Demonstrate ability to perform standard analyses such as performance analyses, competitive analyses,

market analyses, etc. ? Extensive experience in the development and implementation of policy ? Leading, coaching and managing employees ? Evidence of success in a results driven environment ? Strong presentational and influencing skills ? Track record of successfully delivering change ? Significant knowledge and experience of the Scottish RSL sector and/ or urban regeneration ? Making the Quality Standard Frameworks part of day to day business ? i.e. EFQM and IIP

Setting the Strategic Planning Framework

Includes the requirement to

? Be responsible for bringing together crucial pieces of information such as strategic priorities, competitor performance, operational performance, innovations, markets, etc. from various internal and external sources in order to develop strategic options

? Be responsible for spearheading the strategic vision across all fronts of the business

? Manage the development of corporate plans by playing a lead role in all the planning activities performed by the Group establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and translating them into actionable and tangible plans

? Alongside the senior strategy management, support the strategic planning process to ensure that this process is timely, focused, and value adding

? Ensure that the strategy planning process highlights existing business issues, making certain that these issues are thoughtfully addressed by the laid out plans

? Draft and develop the strategic planning framework to implement across the Group

? Embed strategic planning practice across the Group

Effective Project and Programme Management

Provide advice and support on good practice
