About the Role Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive management position provides high level strategic and operational oversight of RAQ's Strategic Directions and associated work plans, clinical practice, research, diversity and inclusion, and measurement and monitoring of the client experience, and establishing and maintaining effective processes for fostering innovation at all levels of the organisation.

This position will assist in advancing the change agenda of the organisation and will also play a key role in collaborating with all levels of management in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing organisational strategy. This includes ensuring inter-departmental collaboration beyond individual portfolios, particularly in carrying out organisational improvement initiatives and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities Executive Management

Provide management excellence through the achievement of performance indicators set out by the CEO.

As a member of the Executive Team, participate fully in the collective responsibility of delivering on organisational objectives, including through engagement and collaborative effort with employees at all levels in the organisation.

Be a role model for effective and positive leadership which is ethical, results driven and future-oriented.

Collaborate with other members of the Executive Team to promote and achieve organisational cohesion, the development of a culture of continuous improvement, and the promotion and adherence of organisational values.

Provide advice, regular updates and reports to the CEO, Board and Executive Team including relating to financial and risk management.

Participate in relevant Committees, as directed by the CEO. Contribute to the achievement of the Strategic Directions via the creation,

implementation and monitoring of allocated Work Plans. Effectively manage change management processes, encouraging innovation,

diversity and continuous improvement. Play a leadership role in creating and maintaining a positive organisational

culture and an engaged Strategy and Innovation Group. Foster a culture of transparent, effective, timely and appropriate internal and

external communication. Promote the vision, mission and values of RAQ and ensure Strategy and

Innovation Group employees are aware of, adhere to and promote the vision, mission and values, and comply with policies and procedures.

Be a role model for effective and positive leadership which is ethical, results driven and future-oriented.

Monitor the allocation and direct the resources within the Strategy and Innovation Group to ensure the achievement of deliverables articulated within applicable Work Plans and identified projects, whilst maintaining a high level of service for business as usual activities.

Maintain effective communication with direct reports to ensure advice provided and decisions made are well informed.

Hold direct reports accountable to their responsibilities and results.

Identify, develop and deliver strategies that support the sustainability of the organisation, to best position the organisation for future government funding opportunities.

Lead business transformation by the delivery of improvement projects that support the organisation to continuously and measurably improve processes, productivity, innovation and collaboration.

Drive the performance of the organisation against the stated objectives of RAQ's strategy and its associated work plans.

Create and maintain processed that foster a culture of innovations at all levels of the organization including a process for trailing, and measuring the effectiveness of, innovative development projects and ideas.

In collaboration with the Senior Executive, establish outcome measures for all programs that effectively demonstrated what difference service delivery makes to clients and communities.

Establish key performance indicators, and the creation and implementation of processes to monitor and report to these key performance indicators regularly.

With the guidance of the Head of Practice, align RAQ's research agenda to the strategic and practice needs of the organisation.

With the support of the Manager ? Diversity and Inclusion, implement and review the deliverables contained within the Access and Inclusion work plan, to foster an inclusive culture which embraces difference, and to influence and create change to provide high levels of accessibility for the organisation's services.

Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices. Act only in ways that advances RAQ objectives, values and reputation. Other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the CEO.

To be successful in this position you will have:

Possession of a postgraduate qualification in business, psychology, social or behavioural sciences or other area specific to the functions held in the Strategy and Innovation portfolio.

A strong track record of managing and delivering projects within specified timeframes.

Substantial experience and record of achievements at a senior management level in the not-for-profit sector, including in strategic planning and business reporting.

Significant experience in managing and leading employees.

Previous experience and success in the delivery of work plans, to assist in the achievement of organisational strategic plans.

Understanding of project management and change management principles and application of relevant associated tools.

Ability to identify effective frameworks that match organisational need and context.

A clear understanding of the professional ethical and legal responsibilities relevant to the position.

Proven skills and capability in both the clinical and business aspects of the role.

Demonstrated business acumen and ability to lead significant change.

Solid leadership and emotional intelligence skills with demonstrated ability to engage others to understand and embrace organisational culture, directions, goals and client service ethos.

Highly Desired Possession of Australian Psychological

Society registration or Australian Counselling Association.

Demonstrated effectiveness in promoting a client-focused approach to the delivery and management of services.

Substantial experience and record of achievements at a senior management level in clinical governance, across diverse and multidisciplinary clinical programs.

Familiarity with relevant funding body streams including health service governance and reporting requirements.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of current mental health policy issues in Australia and the establishment of integrated and coordinated service delivery.
