How do I get there?All Brooklyn Navy Yard tours begin at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92, located at the junction of Flushing Ave and Carlton Ave in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn. The Yard is 300 acres (125 hectares) and spans multiple Brooklyn neighborhoods – it’s east of Vinegar Hill and Dumbo, southwest of Williamsburg, and north of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. York St will come to an end, so turn right into Navy St. Continue straight on Navy St, passing Sands St and the stone parapets of the Sands Street Gate on your left. Take the next left, which will be Flushing Ave, and continue on Flushing Ave for five blocks until you arrive at Flushing Ave and Carlton Ave?– BLDG 92?will be on your left. You may also take the B69 bus from the York St station, which departs from Sands St and Pearl St, two blocks south of the station.From High St-Brooklyn Bridge A/C Station (10-15 min. walk):?Follow signs in the subway station towards the exit on Adams St & High St. When exiting the station, turn right on Adams St (the Brooklyn Bridge on-ramp will be on your left), and turn right at the next corner on to Sands St. Continue on of Sands St for four blocks until you reach Navy St, and turn right.?Take the next left, which will be Flushing Ave, and continue on Flushing Ave for five blocks until you arrive at Flushing Ave and Carlton?Ave?–?BLDG 92?will be on your left. You may also take the?B69?bus, which departs from the corner of Sands St and Pearl St.From Clinton-Washington G Station (15-20 min. walk):?Exit the station at the intersection of Clinton Ave and Lafayette Ave. Walking on Clinton Ave, cross Lafayette Ave and continue walking straight (the next street you cross walking on Clinton Ave will be Dekalb Ave) until you reach Flushing Ave (5 blocks). Turn left on Flushing Ave and walk four blocks until you reach Carlton St, and BLDG 92 will be on your right.?You may also take the?B69?bus, which runs along Vanderbilt Ave.By bus:The B57 and B69 (weekends only) buses travel along Flushing Ave and stop one block from BLDG 92. On the weekends, it is usually not difficult to find street parking in the immediate vicinity of the Yard. There is also a free public parking lot one block south of the yard on Park Ave, underneath the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.If you would like to take a livery car to or from BLDG 92, we recommend Myrtle Car Service, which can be reached at?718-230-8100By bicycle:There is a bicycle lane along Flushing Ave, and the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center offers plenty of racks to park your bike. If you would like to use a Citi Bike, there is a station immediately across the street from the BLDG 92 on Flushing Ave. There are also Citi Bike stations in close proximity to the York St, High St-Brooklyn Bridge, and Clinton-Washington subway stations.By ferry:No public ferries enter the Brooklyn Navy Yard directly, but the East River Ferry is a great service that operates between Wall St-Pier 11 and 34th St in Manhattan, making several stops along the waterfront in Brooklyn and Queens. Ferry rides are $4 on weekdays and $6 on weekends, and they provide wonderful views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines, including the Brooklyn Navy Yard. While some of the ferry stops appear on a map to be in close proximity to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, you will have to walk around the perimeter of the yard to reach?BLDG 92, and the walk is significant. Both the Brooklyn Bridge Park-DUMBO and South Williamsburg ferry landings are about a 30-minute walk from BLDG 92. If arriving at the Brooklyn Bridge Park-DUMBO landing, you may take the B69 bus from Sands St & Pearl St to BLDG 92; if arriving at South Williamsburg, take the B62?from?Division Ave & Berry St. Please plan ahead and consult the East River Ferry schedule and service alerts, bus schedules, and?our map for walking directions. ................
