223395702021 National 4-H Shooting Sports Youth Leadership Virtual AcademyInformation and Application ProcessDeadline – June 4, 2021This year, the National 4-H Shooting Sports Committee is offering a virtual 5-webinar series for youth currently in 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador roles. The learning academy will cover a wide variety of intensive youth leadership skills to use in their role as a State 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador. The schedule gives detailed information on dates, times, and topics. The National 4-H Shooting Sports Committee will provide each participant with the book, The Student Leadership Challenge, by Kouzes and Posner, to use throughout the learning experience. Participants that enroll should be committed to being actively engaged in the topic activities, book study, and panel discussions. Webinars will be recorded for youth to view later, however the webinars will build upon each other in content and learning. Youth that complete the 5-webinar series will be considered National 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors. We will work through specifics of this Program (i.e. polos, name tags) after the summer.Process for ApplicationFor 2021, we are limiting the number of youth per state to TWO. Please have your own interest/application process in your state due to you in a timely manner to enter names and information by the deadline. There is publicity information included at the end of this packet to send to eligible 4-H youth. State 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinators must enter all information into the Google Form no later than June 4. Please do not send the google form link out to families.
