This individual is strategic about social media platforms usage and welcome to new ideas, cultures and beliefs. Additionally, a being highly self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks at any given time is needed. The social media marketer will spearhead the department’s strategic social media marketing plan. This individual will also work closely with the graphic designer to coordinate promotions and advertisements online. Experience and knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media sites is required. Experience using Hootsuite, social media analytics, Photoshop, iMovie, Ingeniux, and other software editing programs is a plus. Duties & Responsibilities: Create a strategic social media marketing plan for Intercultural and International Student ServicesOversee the direction, organization, and content of all the department’s social media sites (CSB|SJU website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, others as necessary or appropriate)Advertise and Promote events by sending out promotions and advertisements via social media sitesWork and Staff Office during work hoursPhotograph and attend events and add them to appropriate social media sites within 48 hoursAs necessary and appropriate, assist in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of events in collaboration with other coworkersPost thought-provoking and educational articles via the appropriate social media platform to educate and start conversationsMinimum qualifications to perform the duties of the position:Intermediate Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Forms Manager, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn Be comfortable with different communication styles and their appropriateness contextuallyAttend development workshops for the job and the department Have a passion for social justice and intercultural competency Be able to multi-task efficiently Be able to work in a groupBe open minded about other culturesMust have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environmentAbility to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities as it relates to the department's social media accountsAbility to be receptive to constructive feedbackWork Schedule:Monday – Friday, various hours 8:00am – 4:30pm, and Nights and WeekendsOffice Hours & Non-Office Hours Attend Scheduled Staff Meetings and TrainingAttend Fall Orientation and TrainingContact Person:Brandyn WoodardIISS DirectorMurray Hall 154, CSB320-363-5455 ................
