- Min. of 8 weeks - Science, technology, engineering,
mathematics (STEM) - Work for government after graduation
Semester/Year - U.S. citizen - At least 18 years or older - Applying to a program outside of
Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand - US citizen or permanent resident - Must receive need-based financial aid or demonstrate need for financial assistance - Undergraduate student - At least 2.8 GPA - Must have at least one term of enrollment remaining at home institution, upon returning from study abroad - Eligible Countries: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam - Must spend at least 8 weeks for a summer term or 12 weeks for a semester term - Little to no prior experience in country - Previous recipients are not eligible
