Aspa Annual Conference 2014Global Hot Springs Forum - OverviewThe purpose of the hot springs forum is to bring together the hot springs community to collectively explore and share wisdom, inspiration and practices associated with the renewed commercial interest in the ancient practice of hot springs bathing/spa. This specialist one-day program draws on the global connections formed by the extensive research undertaken for Hot Springs Alliance Group (HSAG) in a project titled global best practice in the hot springs industry. This work was undertaken by Charles Davidson co-founder of Peninsula Hot Springs and James White a hot springs research and development consultant.This project analyses how the global hot springs bathing industry creates, delivers and captures value. It is joint venture between the New Zealand public sector and private sector companies from Victoria, Australia. These businesses all share the vision to create world leading commercial hot springs bathing facilities. This research to date has involved visiting 16 countries, 104 hot springs sites and over 140 interviews.Delegates at this unique forum will gain insight into the diversity of the global hot springs/spa industry and an understanding of the past, present and likely future opportunities.
