SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT SUMMARY - White Plains Middle School

SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT SUMMARY

DUE: FEBRUARY 7th

A Project Summary describes your project. If you are conducting an experiment, describe your hypothesis. If you have completed the experiment, briefly state the results. If you are NOT doing an experiment, describe the work you are doing. Tell us what you will show at the Science Fair. Below are a few examples of project summaries:

Electricity: My project will describe static electricity and give examples of how you find static electricity in everyday life. I will explain negative and positive charges and why your hair frizzes up when you rub it with a balloon. Solar Energy: We are making a small solar car and testing to see if it will run on artificial light (such as flashlights and light bulbs). Our hypothesis is that the solar car will run on artificial light. Our project will explain why this works (or doesn't work). Biology: Our project will compare and contrast puppies and kittens. We will explain what they eat and how to take care of them. We will also discuss different breeds, sizes and colors of puppies and kittens. Statistics: I am conducting a survey by asking people to read 3 passages from different books and to then let me know whether they think the author is male or female. My project will explain whether the survey results suggest that you can predict the gender of an author by analyzing his or her writing style. Project Summaries may be published in the Science Fair Newsletter
