The Earth travels around the Sun in an orbit every 365 days. As the Earth orbits the Sun, different places get more sunlight. This causes the change in seasons.

longer: is a form of comparative adjective which used to compare two things. For one-syllable adjective like long, we use Adj + -er.

Most places on Earth have four seasons. In spring, the flowers bloom. In summer, days are longer and the temperature is higher. In autumn, leaves fall from the trees. In winter, a whole city could be covered with snow!
