SUMMER SOLSTICE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

SUMMER SOLSTICE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Every June, as the Earth approaches its maximum tilt toward the Sun, The Solar Foundation? celebrates with a jubilant fundraising event, the Summer Solstice party. Hosted on a rooftop in downtown Washington, DC, members from a broad cross section of the solar industry, policymakers, and the larger public enjoy the company of other solar stakeholders, make new connections, and award worthy organizations for their accomplishments in solar in the last year.

Your sponsorship supports the research and education activities of The Solar Foundation? and helps keep the Summer Solstice affordable and accessible to the widest possible audience.

The Solar Foundation? (TSF) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to increase understanding of solar energy through strategic research that educates the public and transforms markets. Since 2010, TSF has published its annual National Solar Jobs Census, which established the first credible data on the solar labor force, positioning TSF as the nation's authority on the topic. TSF is also a leading provider of educational materials on solar development for local governments through its work with the U.S. Department of Energy. In addition, TSF chairs the National Solar Schools Consortium, a group of stakeholders seeking to make solar a larger part of the national K-12 system.

TSF's annual Summer Solstice celebrates the longest day of the year and raises funds for its work by bringing together some of the most interesting and influential clean energy-minded individuals to the nation's capital.

If your organization is interested in highlighting its role in the clean energy economy, please consider the taxdeductible sponsorship packages in this document. We welcome any sponsorship ideas you may have that better suit your organization's needs.

its robust methodology.

The Solar Foundation plays a major role in the SunShot Solar Outreach Partnership, a U.S. Department of Energy program designed to increase the use and integration of solar by working directly with city and county governments.

The Solar Foundation's National Solar Schools Census will demonstrate how thousands of schools are saving money with solar, and provide outreach to school administrators who need assistance procuring solar.

The Solar Foundation is exploring the important role military veterans play in the U.S. solar industry, and is working to support their transition by developing a military skills translation tool.

Contributions to The Solar Foundation are taxdeductible. Every donation, no matter the size, helps support the vital research, education, and outreach that are needed to raise understanding of solar.
