IV. Swedish Midsummer Festival ? June 23 @ Wagner Park o Approximately 6,500 revelers attended the annual festival celebrating the summer solstice. Guests learned folk dances from Barnklubben Elsa Rix and Swedish Folkdancers of New York, made midsummer wreaths, enjoyed a parade, children's games, and Swedish delicacies.

PROJECT UPDATES

I. Review of Concepts Developed by BPCA-CB1 Bicycles Working Group

II. South Battery Park City Resiliency Project & Design Services ? RFP o RFP Reponses due September 29, 2017; additional rounds of public input to follow once firm is selected

o Detailed design and engineering services related to: i. construction of a comprehensive flood barrier system to check water inundation from the Hudson River at Wagner Park and the Pier A Plaza associated with storm activity and sea level rise; ii. construction of a new pavilion structure within Wagner Park to replace the existing pavilion structure, which will enhance the resiliency of the area and provide other amenities; iii. implementation of certain modifications to the Wagner Park landscaping design; and iv. implementation of certain modifications to the water inlet separating Pier A from Wagner Park

o RFP development follows more than year of feedback/input from wide range of neighborhood stakeholders, elected officials, and in close consultation with State and City partners

III. Irish Hunger Memorial ? Leak Remediation & Waterproofing Project o IHM Scheduled to reopen to public later this month (date TBD)

IV. NYC Police Memorial ? New Electrical Vault Construction o Project schedule for completion over the next month

VIII. BPC Parks User Count & Survey o Partnership w/BMCC to measure Parks usage, beginning Wednesday, 7/19 and running through end-October o Five-minute, 20-question survey of 1,200 randomly-selected Parks users throughout study period o Continues and formalizes earlier, unscientific efforts at quantifying Parks use

V. BPC Seniors Working Group o Reconvening on Tuesday, July 18 as part of regularly scheduled check-ins
