Due to children with allergies, especially peanut allergies, please look for allergy warnings on all store-bought products usually located just below the ingredients list. It may say: "MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF NUTS OR MANUFACTURED ON EQUIPMENT THAT ALSO PROCESSES PEANUTS" (or similar wording.) Please include a list of ingredients with homemade snacks due to children's allergies. Thank you very much!

March is a very busy month in preschool. We will have fun celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday, St. Patrick's Day and the first day of Spring. We will learn about volume and tempo, yoga and parallel lines. We will also have fun with the letters U, V, W, X, and Y. February 28th & March 1st Thurs/Fri ~ HAT DAY Celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. Wear your favorite hat. March 14th & 15th Thurs/Fri ~ We will celebrate St. Patrick's Day. WEAR GREEN!

Fri. March 1st ~ Intro to Shoe Tying (Wear lace shoes, if you have them.) Dr. Suess' Birthday- to celebrate his birthday, wear your favorite hat to class! Mon. March 4th ~ "W" ~ WILD WEST DAY Wear Western Clothing ? jeans & a bandana will do!

Wed. March 6th ~ Backwards Day! Wear your clothes backwards. It will be a backwards, mixed-up kind of day!

Wed. March 13th ~ Pre-K Progress Reports go home. Fri. March 15th ~ Celebrate St. Patrick's Day ~ Wear green!

We will be "marching" with pride as we begin to learn the difficult fine motor skill of shoe tying. Please try to wear lace shoes if you have them. In March we will finish the alphabet and learn about letters V-Z and will have lots of fun with our special theme days listed above. Pre-K progress reports go home on March 13th. You are always welcome to request a face to face or telephone conference with your child's station teacher.

PRE-K PLUS *ENRICHMENT*

Heading into spring, the Pre-K Plus will continue to work on sight words and other kindergarten readiness skills.

We ask that you please continue to work with your children at home; they are developing rapidly at Fit by Five and that can only be increased with academic work outside of school. Just keep it fun and short!

Our classes may look like just a lot of play....

But young children learn best by doing. And, integrating academic concepts with physical skills is what Fit by Five was founded on.

If you look closer, nearly everything we do involves numbers, letters, colors, or geometric shapes. Children are also learning to take turns, follow multi-step directions, stand in a line, & even learn to stay on task.

School readiness concepts are merged with physical skills & fun activities - at the same time. Learning comes fast & easy. They also learn that school is fun, learning is fun, and leave with an "I can do it" attitude.

APRIL TUITION IS DUE MARCH 1ST

Please remember a $10 late fee goes on each week tuition is not paid. The last monthly payment for the school year will be April 1st.

Looking Ahead:

We will be closed for Easter break beginning Friday, April 19th through Friday, April 26th. Classes will resume on Monday, April 29th.
