NOTE. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ACRC will not schedule any in-person meetings, orientations, or interviews for this Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Please read this notice carefully as our process has been modified.

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC), serving individuals with developmental disabilities, has identified a need to develop an Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH) within ACRC’s catchment area (Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba) for children who will be transitioning from a Community Crisis Home (CCH), family home, or other highly restrictive settings, or be at risk of admission to one of these settings.

Proposed needs

A brief description of the project is on page two of this notice, which will be developed using a Housing Development Organization (HDO).

RFP ORIENTATION

ACRC is hosting a Bidders’ Conference (a.k.a. “RFP Orientation”) via WebEx to introduce the project in greater detail including the targeted client profile. The RFP handout will be sent via email to those who attend the WebEx Bidders’ Conference. Attending this orientation is mandatory in order to apply.

Project 1: Children’s Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH)– with HDO

Four (4) bed Children’s EBSH that will provide intensive behavioral and mental health services for dually diagnosed clients transitioning from a Community Crisis Home (CCH), Institution for Mental Disease (IMD), other emergency facilities and/or community settings and stepping them down to a less restrictive environment. This facility will include psychiatric supports to address mental health needs as well as intensive services and treatment to address developmental needs preparing individuals who may transition to a less restrictive living environment. This home will be designed to serve clients who are expected to have severe behaviors including, but not limited to, verbal and physical aggression, property destruction, resistive to daily routines, self-injurious behaviors, and AWOL. Note. An HDO will acquire and renovate the home for ACRC
