With over 84 SVS Vision locations and an extensive authorized provider network, SVS Vision has you covered in obtaining your Prescription Safety Eyewear.

HOW TO USE YOUR BENEFIT

1. Obtain a valid prescription from your eye care professional or schedule an appointment at an SVS Vision location for an updated eye exam. Prescriptions must be less than two-years old to be accepted under the program.

2. Visit SVS Vision or an authorized provider with your employee ID badge and valid prescription. To find an authorized provider in your area, please use SVS Vision's Provider Locator .

3. Select your frame from the Consumers Energy Frame Catalog and choose your lenses, based on your type of work. Opticians at all locations can assist in choosing the best frame and lens for your needs.

4. SVS Vision or the authorized provider will process your order.

5. SVS Vision or the authorized provider will notify you to pick-up your glasses as soon as they are received. To ensure your safety eyeglasses are fitted properly, a personal adjustment by an optician will occur at pick up. This is a vital step to ensure optimal performance of fit and clarity.

*Typical turnaround time is 10-14 business days, plus shipping for all orders.

This prescription Safety Eyewear program applies to Consumers Energy employees who wear prescription lenses while working in environments that involve eye hazards. Consumers Energy employees that do not require prescription lenses, but work in environments that involve eye hazards, can obtain approved non-prescription safety glasses from the company storerooms. This Prescription Safety Eyewear program is separate from other vision benefit programs, such as those available through personal health insurance.
