It is a user-based service and allows each active student of NMSU the right to download and install Office desktop applications on their own computers and mobile devices for free.Is Office 365 Pro Plus for Students only or can Staff and Faculty download this product too?The Office 365 Pro Plus “Student Advantage Program” is for active NMSU students only. Microsoft provisioned a set amount of licenses for NMSU. Once a student either graduates or leaves the university; their license will be deactivated 45 days later. This will allow NMSU to re-provision licenses to new students entering the university. Staff and faculty may not download this product unless they are currently taking classes as students and once they are no longer taking courses, they too will be deactivated after 45 days.Does Student Advantage replace the Office 365 University product?No, the Office 365 University product found in your my.nmsu.edu email will continue. This will enable students who do not take advantage of or faculty and staff who do not qualify for Student Advantage, the ability to still use Office 365 email, SkyDrive etc… currently found in my.nmsu.edu.What is included in Office 365 Pro Plus?Office 365 Pro Plus for PC (Office 2013 Pro Plus base applications)- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Lync and InfoPath .Office 365 Pro Plus for Mac (Office 2011 for Mac base applications)-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookOffice Mobile for iPhone and Android (Office Mobile applications are already included with all Windows phones)-Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, and OneNote and Lync Mobile available as separate download.How many computers/ devices can I run this subscription on?You can download the Office 365 Pro Plus on 5 PCs or Macs and 5 mobile devices such as iPhones and Android phones What are the system requirements for Office 365 Pro Plus? How do I activate the download, do I need a key?Not every student is asked to activate, if you are prompted for activation key, there are 3 options. Choose the option to log in with an Office 365 account. Once you choose this option, a screen will appear and you are presented with 2 more options. Choose the one that has you log into the organizational account, and put your NMSU email (username@nmsu.edu) and password. This bypasses the need for an activation key. This will activate the account. If you encounter problems with this, please call the Help Desk at 575-646-1840. How do I deactivate and installation?If you need to deactivate one of the computers that you have installed Office 365 Pro Plus, you can do so by going to any of the computers that you have the software on, and open Word. Click on the File tab and choose “Account”. All of the computers that you have activated will be listed. Click on “deactivate” next to the name of the computer. You can now install the software on another computer.How can I find out how many machines or devices I have activated?You can see how many computers you have activated by going to any of the computers that you have the software on. Open Word and click on the File tab. Choose Account. Not only will you see every computer that you have activated, you will also see how many downloads are still available.Will Office Pro Plus work on Google Chrome Books?No, laptops or desktops must use either Windows OS or Apple OS (Mac).
