|JOB SUMMARY |

|Under the supervision of Enterprise Analytics leadership, the Data Management Analyst will perform various tasks to enhance the capabilities of the larger Enterprise |

|Analytics (EA) organization by identifying and managing data assets, evaluating requirements and producing designs for data structures, and recommending and |

|implementing architecture governance processes that enable the efficient and effective delivery of information as needed by the organization. This will include efforts|

|related to data modeling, metadata management, and overall data administration within the Enterprise Analytics environment. The Data Management Analyst will interact |

|with staff ranging from business line management to technical level developers in collaborative, consultative and direction-providing capacities. |

|MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES |

|Participate in and/or lead improvement projects within EA |

|Develop data/analytics competencies consistent with the role, and progress to capable or outstanding level in at least 5 competencies |

|Function in accordance with the SDLC framework and governance processes |

|Assist in the creation of standards, templates and procedures for the department |

|Maintain an enterprise level view across UW Health, not limited to the Enterprise Analytics platform |

|Provide input to project plans in collaboration with assigned project lead or manager |

|Migrate work products in accordance with the SDLC from development to QA environment to production |

|Derive the data structure/data model and data flow based upon business needs |

|Identify the appropriate data sources with the assistance the business analyst |

|Assist the business analyst in mapping the data from source to target |

|Maintain content in the metadata repository |

|Create and manage the catalog of data related objects (e.g., views, tables, etc.) and provide advice regarding their use. |

|Guide integration across data sources and targets |

|Guide development and enforce adherence to approved frameworks |

|Administer tools/utilities specific to the Data Management roles such as ERWin, Metadata Management utilities, etc. |

|Follow business metadata processes and create artifacts to support the metadata processes |

|Contribute to development and dissemination of a common set of business rules and methodologies |

|Establishes common terms, business rules, measure definitions |

|Serve as a metadata subject matter expert to project teams, work groups, etc. |

|Education |Minimum |Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Data Science or related field |

| | |(Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement) |
