2.0 TEST ANALYSIS
TEST ANALYSIS
This section identifies the tests being conducted and provides a brief description of each. In addition, it provides a description of the current system if one exists. Each test in this section should be under a separate section header. Generate new sections as necessary for each test from 2.2 through 2.x.
1 2.1 Security Considerations
Provide a detailed description of the security requirements that have been built into the system and verified during system acceptance testing. Identify and describe security issues or weaknesses that were discovered as a result of testing.
2 2.x [Test Identifier]
The tests described in sections 2.2 through 2.x of this Test Results and Evaluation Report should correspond to the tests described in sections 2.1 through 2.x of the Test Plan and to those described in section 5.0 of the Validation, Verification, and Testing Plan.
Provide a test name and identifier here for reference in the remainder of the section. Identify the functions that were tested and are subsequently being reported on. Include the following information when recording the results of a test:
9. Name and version number of the application or document that was tested
10. Identification of the input data used in the test (e.g., reel number or file ID)
11. Identification of the hardware and operating systems on which the test was run
12. Time, date, and location of the test
13. Names, work areas, email addresses, and phone numbers of personnel involved in the test
14. Identification of the output (e.g., reel number or file ID) data, with detailed descriptions of any deviations from expected results.
1 2.x.1 Expected Outcome
Describe or depict the expected result of the test.
2 2.x.2 Functional Capability
Describe the capability to perform the function as it has been demonstrated. Assess the manner in which the test environment may be different from the operational environment and the effect of this difference on the capability.
3 2.x.3 Performance
Quantitatively compare the performance characteristics of the system with the requirements stated in the FRD.
4 2.x.4 Deviations from Test Plan
Describe any deviations from the original Validation, Verification, and Testing Plan that occurred during performance of the test. List reasons for the deviations.
3.0 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
summary and conclusions
1 3.1 Demonstrated Capability
Provide a general statement of the capability of the system as demonstrated by the test, compared with the requirements and security considerations contained in the FRD. An individual discussion of conformance with specific requirements must be cited.
2 3.2 System Deficiencies
Provide an individual statement for each deficiency discovered during the testing. Accompany each deficiency with a discussion of the following:
15. Names, work areas, email addresses and phone numbers of development area personnel who were informed about the deviations
16. Date the developers were informed about the potential problem
17. Date the new version was reissued
18. If the deficiency is not corrected, the consequences to operation of the system.
19. If the deficiency is corrected, the organization responsible and a description of the correction (path #, version, etc.)
3 3.3 Recommended Improvements
Provide a detailed description of any recommendation discovered during testing that could improve the system, its performance, or its related procedures. If additional functionality is seen as a potential improvement for the user, although not specified in the FRD, it should be included here. Provide a priority ranking of each recommended improvement relative to all suggested improvements for the system.
4 3.4 System Acceptance
State whether the testing has shown that the system is ready for release testing and subsequent production operation.
