NURSE TRANSITION PROGRAM

LAUNCH YOUR CAREER AS AN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT NURSE

This 3 month program is designed to teach the fundamentals of emergency department

nursing while encouraging compassion and integrity. Provides a solid foundation and

encourages strong nurses who will become leaders in the department. Multi-dimensional

orientation including clinicals, Elsevier online modules, and lectures from subject matter

experts. Shadowing opportunities are incorporated to provide an overview of a patient's care

from the pre-hospital setting to discharge while fostering professional interdisciplinary

relationships. Within the department nurses will shadow in the Pediatric ER, Triage and

Trauma/Resuscitation areas to showcase the full range of career paths.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates will be a

graduate of an accredited School

of Nursing; licensure to practice

as a Registered Nurse in the

State of Florida. BSN or an ASN

with greater than one year

Hospital experience and

presently in a BSN program

required.
