Internship with Hillsborough County Health Department Director. Analyzed STD surveillance data for adolescent syphilis cases in Hillsborough County, Florida. Worked with Director to understand administrative functions, health policy and strategic planning for local and state level department of health. January to April 2008.

Community Health Advocacy Partnership. Created annual health fair targeted to African Americans in East Tampa. Services included influenza vaccination, and HIV, STD, blood sugar and blood pressure screenings. Supervised medical students, provided screenings and education. June to December 2007.

USF College of Public Health Annual Flu Shot Drive. Provided education and counseling, and supervised health students administering influenza vaccination to 1500 local residents in Tampa, Florida. 2007.

Miles for Moffitt, Provided Body Mass Index screenings and counseling regarding healthy weight, exercise and nutrition for children and adults participating in health fair and race day activities. 2007 to present
