In the fall of each year, teachers often suggest lists of supplies for parents to donate. Parents have requested these lists be sent out now so that supplies can be purchased during August when many of the stores have special Back to School sales. As always, the school will provide the necessary supplies when families do not.
The first day of school for students is August 20, 2012. See you then!
SUPPLIES
**Must Haves:
• Backpack or school bag to carry books, notebooks, etc.
• 1 – 1.5 inch, 3 ring binder with 5 dividers (dividers with pockets are best). Please do not buy anything larger than 1.5 inches - it won't fit in the desk.
• *Keep in mind the binder must fit inside the desk along with textbooks, etc.
• Pencil pouch – OR – Pencil box that fastens shut
• Red/colored pen for correcting papers (crayons/thick felt pens don’t work well for this)
• Extra pencils
• Colored pencils
• 3 highlighters (1 yellow, 1 pink, 1 green)
• Glue stick
• Scissors
• 3 pocket folders w/tabs (prongs) inside
• 2 spiral ring notebooks – wide ruled, 70 pages
• Erasers
• Box of tissues
• Post It Notes (one package, any size)
• Package of skinny whiteboard/dry erase markers
Nice to Have:
• Mini-size Stapler
• Thesaurus and dictionary (non student versions and the 3 hold punched kind that fit into the desk are best)
• Markers
Extras for the Classroom:
• Boxes of tissues
• Scissors
• Skinny dry erase markers
• Greenworks cleaning wipes
• Post It Notes
• Glue sticks
• Pencils - Ticonderoga
• Hand soap – regular – *NOT antibacterial*
• Gently used puzzles, games, books that are developmentally appropriate
• Cushions & pillows for our reading area
