Target Debt Free Lesson 1: Introduction to the Course You Can Become Wealthy on the Money You Make Now

Lesson #1 Assignment

Complete this Financial Freedom Lifestyle To-Do List.

I want you to list the things you've always WANTED to do, but never had the time or money. This is a list of the dream life you will live when this course has worked its magic for you. Then I would like for you to make a copy of it and place it where you'll see it all the time--on your mirror, for example. Within the next few years, when you reach financial freedom by following what you will learn in this TDF course, you'll have more time and money than you've ever had before! Some people who reach their financial goals never bothered to think about what they would do with their new-found time and wealth. But you'll be ready, because you will have thought about it and planned for it. So, dream big, real big. You can also look at your list anytime you start losing your commitment to read and follow these lessons--to reenergize you to continue on your wealth building path.

If I had all the time and money I need, I would ... (Remember to dream BIG)

NOTE: Use a separate sheet of paper if you run out of room listing your To-Do items. Coming Up Next...

Lesson #2: Determining your Financial Well-Being Score In the next lesson you will determine your Financial Well-Being Score and be able to compare it to national average. The score will also provide a way for you to track your progress during the course as you will be asked to complete it along the way.

Target Debt Free Lesson 2: Determining Your Financial Well-Being Score

Lesson #2 Assignment

Print out the Financial Well-Being Survey on the next page and follow these instructions for completing and scoring the survey.

Read each question on the survey and circle the number that best represents your

answer. Once you answer all 8 questions, add up the numbers you circled and divide by 8. That number is your financial well-being score (at this point).

Once you've determined your score, write it in the space above the table below,

then locate that score in the table for an interpretation.

The average score for the general population in the United States is 5.7. Thirty

percent of the people scored between 1 and 4, while 42% scored between 7 and 10, and 28% were at 5 and 6 on the continuum.

A Financial Well-Being score can alert you to what might have been previously

undetected financial difficulties or confirm your sense of average or high financial wellness.

Even if you scored higher than the national average, you probably still have room to

improve your score. As you complete the TDF course, your score will improve over time, and so will your lifestyle.
