Film & Television Production Instructor

The Georgia Film Academy is seeking a film production professional to deliver curriculum at the undergraduate level to students interested in launching a career in film and television production. The course includes study of on-set production crafts such as: Grip, Electric, Lighting, Camera, Sound, Art Department, Wardrobe, Locations and more. As an instructor, you serve as a guide to translate set etiquette, terminology and protocols to students in a way that makes it become a second language and prepares them for success in the industry.

Experience: -5+ years of Film & Television on-set production experience. Union productions preferred -College Degree preferred -Teaching experience is a plus, but not required

Film & Television Post-Production Instructor The Georgia Film Academy is seeking a post-production professional to deliver curriculum at the undergraduate level to students interested in launching a career in post-production. The course covers the essential system operations and technical functions of nonlinear editing platforms used in professional film and television post-production, including terminology, department hierarchy, history and theory of editing and sound design through topics such as continuity style, montage, juxtaposition of images, development of sound design, and linear and flat-bed editing.

Amazing things happen in "Post" and this is your opportunity to provide real-world examples with practical application through exercises that align with fundamental skills. If you have professional experience in the following, we want to hear from you: File management, footage logs, timecodes, proxies, edit decision lists (EDLs), synchronization, transitions, simple effects, basic audio mixing and file exports.

Experience: -5+ years of NLE software experience (Avid, Premiere, etc.) on professional projects -College Degree preferred -Teaching experience is a plus, but not required

Production Accounting Instructor The Georgia Film Academy is seeking an experienced Production Accountant to team-teach the GFA Production Accounting & Office Management course. This college class provides students with a broad understanding of the processes, protocols, paperwork and computer programs utilized within the Production Accounting and Production Office departments in the film and television industry, focusing on the knowledge, practical skills and work routines required for entry-level jobs.

The course focuses on the following: the relationship between the Production Office and the overall production; the importance of the communication hub that exists between the Office, Set and Post-Production teams; and the guidelines and reporting practices that are used to track and manage the finances of a production. Practical elements are created through the use of actual production software and scenario simulations.

Experience: -5+ years of experience in production accounting, including office management, production office management, or some related experience - College Degree preferred
