Long-Term Substitute Certified Teacher - A substitute employed as a long-term substitute teacher to fill a temporary vacancy lasting more than 20 consecutive work days due to a teacher's board approved leave of absence. The long-term substitute teacher will receive pay at the current substitute teacher rate set by the Board ($65.00/day) for the first 20 days of substituting. Beginning with the 21st day of continuous substituting for a teacher on a leave of absence, the long-term substitute teacher will receive $130.00 per day.
