INTRODUCTION
The following pages contain the compensation program for the State of New Jersey
Executive Branch for Fiscal Year 2024.
When a salary adjustment is not specifically authorized by the Fiscal Year 2024 Salary
Regulations, or by a specific allowance such as clothing or maintenance set by a labor
agreement, or by a rule contained in N.J.A.C. Title 4A, such salary adjustment may
be made only if approved by the Chair/Chief Executive Officer, Civil Service
Commission, and the Director, Office of Management and Budget, as provided in
Section 4(A).
Salary Regulations shall be cited as SR. The citation to a particular section shall
include the Fiscal Year, the numerical designation of the Section and the appropriate
letter to which reference is made. Example: Payment of a teacher¡¯s educational
incentive would be cited as: SR24:3G.
The only Salary Regulations currently in effect are those contained in this document.
All Salary Regulations issued in previous fiscal years are repealed and are no longer
in effect. If you have any questions, please contact the New Jersey Civil Service

SALARY REGULATIONS
FY2024
Supplement 1
Extension of FY2024 Salary Regulations beyond June 30, 2024 pending the issuance of
the FY2025 Compendium.
This authorizes the application of the provisions of the FY2024 Salary Regulations for
the purposes of processing personnel transactions during the period July 1, 2025 until a
new (FY2025) Compendium is approved.
